Inexpensive choice; unfortunately, made in China.

A nice watch, not sure yet how accurate it is.Reason for 3 starrating? There is little to no resistance on the crown when setting the time. It jumped forward 5 minutes the first time I pushed the crown down. Second attempt at setting the time it might have jumped ahead a minute. I'll try to reset it again tomorrow.

Plus I always know what time it is... when I check my phone

So I have been looking for an affordable pocket watch for some time now. This is right in my price range. :)The watch was very well packaged. I took off half a star because the watch arrived with a dead battery. I was able to order new ones (very cheap) here on Amazon.I took off another half star because ... if you look at quality watches ($140 or more) the numeral 3 is at the stem. On this watch the 12 is at the stem.The pocket watch was designed to be worn in a gentleman's vest pocket. When you take the watch out of the pocket with your right hand, the thumb presses the stem, the watch opens and you see the time.With this watch, once you open it, you then have to rotate the watch to look at the time.So far the watch is accurate and overall I am pleased with the purchase. I will be taking it to a jeweler to see if the watch face can be turned to the appropriate position and I will update afterward.

On the positive side, this watch keeps good time. It will run for months with no need for adjustment. Its uncluttered face is highly legible. And the chain which accompanies it is durable and attractive steel. It arrives with a 377A (alkaline) battery. These batteries have a limited life and may go dead within months after a watch is delivered. (This may account for some reviewers' comments that a watch failed to keep regular time, or stopped working. If you encounter this situation, try installing a new battery.) The battery can easily be accessed by removing the back cover and the plastic retaining disc. It is advisable to replace the 377A battery with a 377 (silver oxide) battery, which has a longer life, and is similarly priced.On the negative side, although the chain is steel, the case is silver plated brass; and the silver plating wears out fairly quickly (see photograph). Note that, when polished, the brass case is fairly attractive. The case itself is durable; the hinge less so. A greater concern, after six months of use, the crystal fell out.If you worry about appearances, perhaps purchase a watch with a brass or bronze case—one that does not pretend to be silver. Check the crystal, and if it seems to be at all loose, apply tiny amounts of super glue at several places along its edges, If you need to install a new crystal, you need one with a 36.6 mm diameter. Note that a pocket watch with a hinged metal cover takes a relatively "flat" crystal in comparison with an open face pocket watch. The crystal fits snugly into the watch, but should be secured with an appropriate agent. If you use super glue, use the minimum necessary, as excess glue can fog the crystal. Clear expoxy might be an acceptable alternate, if used sparingly. And a special glue for watch crystals is also available.These comments probably apply to other similar watches offered by Amazon.

I love the price and how beautiful it looks, but when I barely took it out of the box it worked for like 15 seconds and the second hand stop working. I changed out the battery and it worked a little bit only moving the second hand back and forth. Can’t say I recommend this but if it’s just for decoration I guess it’s just for that… decoration.

This has got to be one of the worst examples of craftsmanship I have ever made the mistake of purchasing. Even though this is literally a cheap watch ($11), and I know I shouldn't expect much from something that costs this little, it was disheartening when I first opened the package to see a flimsy, almost toy like, watch that is somehow Amazon's pick for wind up watches.First off this was bought as a gift for a young man, but after seeing the quality of the piece I literally tossed it into the trash. The hinged face cover was extremely loose. The face and hands were cartoonish at best. The heft and feel were like one of those cheap little metal cars that you played with as a child, hollow and empty. But worst of all, it doesn't keep time. I set the hands, depress the button, and watch the second hand stop. Close the lid and you can hear it randomly moving...not as a timepiece should but like a distorted item from a horror movie.In conclusion. This wasn't even worth trying to get a refund. But, if I can help others avoid this disappointing display of manufacturing, then my job is complete. Ignore the other reviews praising it for quality and heft...it is none of those things.

It pays to pay attention,notice the watch face is observed with 6 at the Hong. So you have to turn it 90 degrees to tell the time whereas most pocket watches have the hinge at 3. Not my favourite I have to admit, I have chrome one where the is no problem telling the time,plus it has a date and it is quartz and much cheaper. The delivery time was long as well.

I received my order today after ordering for the groomsmen for my wedding. The photos do not do this product justice. They are beautiful and I'm so happy I chose these. Each come in their own individual box with a presentation cushion. A beautiful design and easy to use.

Gute, schnelle Ablesbarkeit der Zeit, ohne die Brille benutzen zu müssen. Die Uhr ist handlich, hat eine angenehme Grö0e. Der Preis war ein Auswahl- Kriterium. Mal etwas anderes, mal die Zeit abzulesen.
