UnidenBearcat 880 40-Channel CB Radio with 7-Color Digital Display

The media could not be loaded. This thing is so nice. Hop it’s tuff and will hold up to wear and tear!! Has a nice speaker and sound’s nice and clear!!

Are use the CB on my boat and one paired with a CB antenna designed for marine use, it does a fantastic job

The only problem I’ve found is that it does not get very loud. I’m working on the problem and will update my review if it is not the CB and is an issue with the truck.

I bought this radio to replace one with frequently failing microphones. The Bearcat 880 is the best CB I've had yet. The knobs and buttons are well thought out, it is attractive, the display is easy to read, and most importantly it sounds good and transmits and receives well.

I purchased a CB Radio for my dad last December and the Mic broke in August of this year. We sent the Radio to be repaired as it was within the 1 year warranty. It was delivered on August 25th.Uniden has been moving locations so a delay was understandable, however after calling multiple times (at least once per week) for over a month, they never confirmed that they even received the radio. They told me it was likely they lost it. So I asked for a replacement.It took them 2 weeks and more time from me to ask for updates for them to finally send me a tracking and confirmation number today. Today is October 6th and I saw that they sent it to the wrong address after repeatedly telling them verbally and in writing to send it back to the original shipping address. I called today and they said there is nothing they can do.Now I will say, that all the ladies I talked to were pleasant and it was not their fault, but it is a nightmare.TLDR: So if you buy this radio and it breaks, just purchase a different radio.

While it might look good and the brand is something I know, the unit is not something I would tell someone they should buy.It pulls in a lot of noise on my vehicle, I have to back off the RF Gain and turn up the squelch quite far or it just pulls noise and static. I have been through 2 antennas, mounts and coax cables. The first was a K40 mag mount which you can't use with these radios or the radio fails the TX test due to no grounding on the antenna, the second is a Wilson Antenna and Wilson body mount with a new coax cable, same results with the noise, vehicle running or not it seems to have a very sensitive receive on it.The display is worthless, you can't see it in bright light, you have to literally have the unit facing you to even see anything of the display, I should of bought something old school with a needle rather than this digital LCD screen. Now at night time, the screen looks great, but my work is during the day, so not much good for me.
