Lots of history of beads
Just what I was looking for, lots of info on the history of beads and where different styles of beads are from in Europe, lots of pictures and examples. its unreal the tones of Czech glass beads America ordered between 1920-1930's to make the long necklaces that was in vogue, then you have the Rhinestones. great book of your doing research

Disappointed
Thought it would be more up to date and would have general values of beads instead of just the Euro dollar value of items pictured.

Good bathroom reading I suppose
Was hoping for more in depth coverage of dark age beads, The Byzantines the Francs and various tribes and lore. I didn't Whitby Jet represented and we know their Chieftan burials found with necklaces of Whitby Jet. We know the Romans coveted the Jet and was likely part of the silk road. The Blue eye beads and the significance. Plenty of images but many were 17th and 18 century Murano types and then a mix of contemporary reproductions.Good bathroom reading I suppose.
