Great Price
Used for rafter vents. Had to open the holes up on the house. Vents are great quality and did the job.

Fitting roof line soffits
Great product for exact fit holes, but needs some modifications for soffit circles. My original builders weren't precise in cutting soffit holes with a 2" hole saw. I chose to modify the caps instead of using a hole saw drill while on a 24' extension ladder.I used tin snips to make some cuts on the vent covers and used needle nose pliers to slightly bend them inward (see photo). I installed 36 of these on the 2nd story soffit and have another 24 for lower level access points. They should do the job to keep insects and possible rodents out of my attic.

Replacing failing Shea Homes soffit wire screens inside attic areas soffit holes
These soffit covers are essentially replacing the soft and failing wire mesh placed on Shea Homes built Condo Complex. Birds were destroying the corroded metal screen wire placed inside the 2x6 lumber on the interior attic side. These are going in the soffit holes on the outside and they slide in easily if the soffit holes were properly cut. About one half required me to cutout rough areas so the Mesh Hole Air vents would fit properly. I had to use a small hammer and rubber handled UG cable skinning knife to gently pound some pieces in flush. Some were dented slightly in the process.

They will block birds and pest from the attic if you have a 2 inch hole saw hole
I have a 60 yr old house w 2 inch vent holes around the roof line, 1 mile in from the ocean. The old wire grating orig placed in the attic over the holes is all but rusted out. These vents mostly fit in just as they came out of the bag, unless there was too much paint build up in the hole, at which point a light tap or 3 with a rubber mallet convinced them to slip in. 37 vent holes, took all of about 25 minutes to cap them all with these. Moving the ladder was the biggest time use

Too large for 2” hole
These are in fact too large for a 2” hole. I did the same as the other reviewer and snipped the back of them to force them in. Not fun when I have 140 to install.
