I ordered the book yesterday and today it was here. I wasn't planning on receiving it for a few days. It was used and not totally beat up, loved though.

This is a really cool book. It has real pictures of artifacts and relics and delves into the history of amulets and talismans well. The cover is much more beautiful than in the picture. I hope this is the revised edition. It's very historical and was clearly made with research in mind. Well done.

This book is filled with great information for anyone interested in talismans. I'm building a library of craft books and this one will be read many times over.

Migene Gonzalez Wippler has dedicated her life to scholarly research and mysticism and this comprehensive source book reflects that. This is one of the most indepth, cross-cultural guides to amulets and talisman that I've come across and that includes over 25 years of research in this field. I have subtracted 1 star because at times the author is a little too much of an erudite for the general reader who may become bogged down with jargon. Nevertheless the dense text, great illustrations and multicultural analysis make this book wwelcome on the shelf of anyone studying magic, mysticism or esoteric symbolism. As a paperback it is reasonably priced which is an additional benefit.

This book is packed full of useful information. It is a more detailed account and slower reading is important so as not to miss the important facts being outlined here. A good book to have for reference.

This is a very thorough and comprehensive book which features valuable information for those of us who are intensely faithful and believers in religious and mystical rituals and relics as well as meaningful talismans and amulets. It is a treasured addition to my library.

Bought for a friend for his birthday he really likes it.
