Not in love... but it's okay.
** Updating my review **I decided to hold on to this book and not return it, and I am glad because so far I have made several of the recipes to try out and I knew I had to come back here and admit I was wrong. The "ketchup" recipe alone is enough to keep the book - I couldn't believe a recipe so basic would produce something that actually TASTES like ketchup. I am still not thrilled about the binding/print because I don't see it holding up well, and think the price should reflect that, but the recipes are definitely making up for it.*********************I don't know. I WANT to love this book. I do love the gal who put it together, and usually enjoy the recipes she blogs. I am a long-time AIP follower, I know my way around the kitchen at this point. I don't know what it is that is putting me off - the cheap, flimsy binding job, the amateur printing/hard-to-read fonts/food presentations, the errors in the recipes, the fact that I ordered it at the same time as the "Nourish" cookbook which is everything a cookbook ought to be (and cost LESS than this one), the ultra basic recipes (which I am sure taste delicious, but they are ones I would have figured out on my own and didn't need to pay nearly $30 for. Whatever "it" is, it has left me wondering if I should return this book and get my money back, or put it on the shelf and see how it goes. $30 is a lot of money, and I did expect more than what I found crammed into my mailbox. Not trying to be harsh, just honest. I could have saved my money and continued to follow the HWKIP blog and done just fine... even found that some of these recipes I already have pinned on Pinterest and did not need to pay $$ for.... BUT although the recipes are pretty basic, they are practical and fast, and that is a good thing.

Awesome! Please improve Kindle Version!!
There are so very many recipes I can't wait to try; especially compared to other AIP recipe books. Unfortunately, there's no digital index. And when the page is bookmarked, what appears in Notebook is the first line of the recipe introduction; because the recipe title is a graphic. No! Please, please fix this. Titles and charts which are text-based need to be text, or they can't be tagged, searched or indexed. Furthermore, digital titles and charts can be difficult to read, and can't be enlarged without click-click-clicking on each one. Even enlarged, images containing text can be almost illegible; especially with cutesy typefaces. It's a big deal. The chart for AIP Pantry Ingredients is contained in three images, containing text in a gothic typeface. On my 10-inch tablet, with the individual images expanded to page-width in landscape, it's still a struggle to read.I found a work-around to tag and index recipes to try first. I selected the graphic containing the title of the recipe. I inserted a note in the selection, in which I typed the name of the recipe. Now when I view my Notebook, I have the list of entries I have tagged. For each of my notes I also have an entry containing the next word of text in the document, but I can live with that. It took some time, but I found it worthwhile. These individual artistic works have ingredients I believe in.I look forward to revising my review, because it's a very good cookbook, with lovely photographs, intelligent constructions and a compelling back-story. Kudos!

If you're new to AIP/Paleo THIS is the first cook book you should purchase!!!
If you're new to the AIP diet, and you can only afford one book - THIS IS THE ONE!!! My husband was diagnosed with an autoimmune problem and everything he loved to eat was on the list of what he can no longer eat. About a week before he officially started the diet I ordered several cook books, including this one which is by far my favorite as it has the tastiest recipes of any we have tried. In the first few pages of this book is a list of staple ingredients for this diet - order it all! I am so glad we did, we were ultra prepared to tackle this huge challenge. We're about a month in to this diet and a few of our favorite recipes in this book have helped get my husband through some really rough days as he adjusts. The bread sticks (made with coconut flour and arrowroot flout) are something I make multiple times a week so he feels like he's eating bread. I just made the pumpkin bars last night and he couldn't stop eating them - it's the first "sweet" thing he's had on the diet since all sugars are banned during the repair period. I could go on and on, but I'll end by saying thank you to Breanna D. Emmitt for putting this together. You've made adjusting to a new lifestyle a much easier and more positive process!

Delicious, flavorful food!- Not recommended for coconut allergies.
UPDATE- I have made so many of these recipes since purchasing the book and they have all been delicious. I usually make at least one recipe per day, but sometimes our entire day consists of meals made from this cookbook! The ranch dressing is wonderful, the strawberry cake was great (and the reason I ordered the book initially!) even though I had a bit of trouble with the frosting (may have been user error), the oven fried chicken was also a big hit. I wasn't a fan of the amount of coconut flour in the recipes, but because everything is so delicious I am going to increase my rating to 5 stars.----------------------------------------------I just recieved my copy on Saturday and have already made 3 of the recipes. My family has liked them all! I am loving this book. I gave it 4 stars because she only uses coconut flour for the recipes. I would like to see a little more variety such as cassava or tigernut. I think those have gained popularity only recently though, so maybe she should just come out with a brand new baking book!

Didn't like
I didn't like this book, alot of it to do with how cheap and flimsy it is. It's a really badly printed cheap looking book, not what I was expecting considering the cost. A few recipes okay if you can find palm shortening which seems to feature in many of the recipes (I've never found it in the UK). There are much better cookbooks and recipes out there for paleo and autoimmune.

Good in parts
Some good ideas but unconvinced about the 'breads'. Mine were more like biscuits and fell apart.

Good value for the money!
Ordered this 'used good' book. Came in great condition. Only used part was someone wrote their initials on the front of the cover very small and barely noticeable. This cookbook comes with a pic for every recipe and it is well organized and looks like very useful recipes for anyone following AIP (autoimmune paleo protocol). I definitely recommend this.

and it was not good. I've given it three stars because some of ...
The thing that disappoints me about this book is the extremely light colour they've chosen for print in the recipes of the book. It's a pale blue, and just so very hard to see. I've tried one recipe so far, the mayo, and it was not good. I've given it three stars because some of the other recipes look like they'll be worth a try, but based on the poor print choice, and that one recipe, I can't go above 3 stars.
