The media could not be loaded. I swapped out my Prince of Wales for these on a very obstinate animal, and—wow—she was a lot more responsive. These are good, functional, working spurs, historical role-playing aside.They’re pretty thick, but malleable, so I could mold them to my heel and they stay how I want them. That’s really nice.Inside of the spur has a sharp enough edge to stay on the spur welt without slipping off. Not that I got the chance to really dig with them—I got the desired response with little ask.They look smart, too.The straps they come with are just trash. I bought them for the spurs themselves, which are great, so I’m not hitting them for that with my star rating. But they should just leave the straps out.I don’t ride to play dress up, I ride to ride. These spurs delivered.

While the brass spurs appear to be pretty well made the "leather" straps that came with them are a JOKE and too short even for a size 8.5W Cavalry Boot. Buy your spurs without straps then find good quality straps somewhere else. If it wasn't for the aggravation I would return and start all over.

These spurs (1885 Cavalry) look great attached to your boots and were just as ordered. I might order these spurs again as a gift.

These are very good quality, many people at Fox Hunt commented on them.Yes. I actually ride horses daily, one of my horses can be difficult and stubborn.Nice because just a touch does it. These also fit my boots well. Buy with no fear, 5 stars.

The straps were too short for my boots and they are thin leather and break easily. The spurs themselves are well made.

These spurs are substantial brass castings with an excellent finish. I'll be pleased to add them to my Civil War officer's kit.I also own a set of reproduction 11th century knight's spurs and three sets of excellent western spurs. These are clearly on a par with each of those. I am very pleased that I made this purchase.

I seldom use spurs, but these seem to work well. The included straps don't exactly fit a size 13 western boot, though.
