Fits great, buttery smooth action
My doors are like new. Maybe better than new.I used this replacement part on my 2004 Jetta and it made such a difference in the quality of life. The door locks and unlocks reliably now, and the outside pull is so smooth.Installation was not straightforward however. The entire door must be disassembled, and since I did both rear doors, I got the hang of it and did the second replacement in about 2 hours. The first took me a week of head scratching, even with the shop manuals and online videos. If you're handy, I'd suggest trying it.You have to reuse several parts, and the one hiccup I made was inserting the outside door pull cable into the wrong side of the new latch mechanism.

Lasted 3 years
So this part only lasted three years until the microchip went bad. Now my car warns that the door is open (and the alarm goes off) when the door is actually closed.

Direct fit for 2003 VW Jetta 1.8T. Not bad installing overall but I knew what I was getting into ahead of time. Great value for the $, I would buy from this seller again.

I had to rip them all out, do not buy
I have a 2001 VW Jetta. These are not as advertised, I bought a set so I could replace all the electric door locks. They fit in the mounting holes, but jammed when I closed them. When I got them to open, I checked the alignment it was good, when I worked the door latch with the door open it worked fine. Turns out the depth of the latch is off by 3/8 of an inch which causes the latch to stick. DO MOT BUY THESE, they do not work as advertised.

Fit perfectly with no issues, works as OEM, hardest part of the install is the door panel removal, fitting the actuator is a breeze with multiple u tube videos

Latch fit and operates in my mk4 golf perfectly.
This latch was a direct bolt in replacement. Getting the old latch out requires disassembly of pretty much the entire door. Getting it all back together and having the lock functioning again felt pretty good, but I wouldn’t recommend it for everybody.
