Great light
Waterproofing depth- IPX-8 means it can be submerged deeper than 1 meter. How much deeper depends on the design of the manufacturer's seal. I have not taken this down deep but since I own several deep diving flashlights, this one from the design looks like it will go 300 feet. The front lens is about 1/4 thick with an O-Ring pressed against the lip. The lens is tighten with high pitch fine thread aluminum cap, allowing it to be much tighter and harder to come loose. I will update the depth rating after my next dive. However this will not be my main light in diving since I take a lot photos and videos. I will tell you why.Zoom- The diving light will not zoom, the other light listed will.Light pattern- This has a spot light pattern, the beam will go far but without much spread. There is a hot spot at the middle making it not suitable for video or photo underwater. I would say it can be used to explore but not photography, at least the photography will not be appealing with a hot spot at the middle of the photo.Heat- In high mode, the head become unbearable to touch after about 15 minutes. The handle is a bit cooler but still hot and uncomfortable to hold for long period. It would be a nice hand warmer in cold weather. On medium, you can hold it just fine, it is warm just don't grab it on the head which there is no reason to anyway. It is plenty bright on medium which is where I want to leave it. Heat is the biggest killer in high power LED lights and my experience is to not let them run too hot or they will likely get damaged. There are other name brand with designs to turn down the brightness automatically so that tells you it is unsafe to run on high mode over long period.Brightness- It is very bright but should not be the 5,000 lumens as the way it claimed. I have no meter to gauge it, just compared it with my other high power LED lights. This can be an unfair judgement so take it with a grain of salt.Operation- The light turns on always at the brightest level, no memory and it steps through High-Med-Low-Off, very simple button. The instruction is unclear with grammar and spelling errors. "Hold down the button for 2 times in a shot time to activate the strobe mode." was in the manual and I could not switch it to strobe mode." What it means after a five minute trial and error is "A quick double press activates the strobe mode". The strobe mode works only in high mode and probably will not last longer than 2 hours. Another discrepancy is the run time, on the product description, on high mode it is 3 hours but on the manual it is 30 minutes. Which one is true depends on the battery you use? With 2 Samsung true 3500mAh battery on high mode, it ran for about 1-1/2 hour. This means there is an error in the product description. The batteries it came with lasted 30 min and are cheaply made like most of the ones I get which are included in the package. I will stick with name brand like Samsung and Panasonic. I purchased 4 of them after a long search for better price, they are flat head, not button head but I converted them by using a flat screw driver with twisting action, prying and propped up the lead between the gap about 1mm high. There is no need to use magnet to extend the head lead like some of the other reviewers did. The Samsung batteries ($20 for 4) are not cheap but they are true 3500mah. Remember you do need to do the conversion and prop up the head, allowing it to make contact. I could not find a quality 18650 with button head for the price so here is what I found after an hour of search and reading reviews.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0762LDVF8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Build quality- The engineer who designed this is meticulous in detail. It is precision milled with deep 1/2 mm grooves which create really good anti slip ribs. All the couplings are high pitch fine tread make it prone to accidental opening. The body diameter is small harder to hold even for my small size hand but with the deep ribs it holds well. There is no knurling on the surface so it is a tiny bit slippery when trying to open the battery chamber, not too bad but could be better. The switch looks very well made for waterproofing and sealed with different color LED emitter in operation- blue-fully charged more than 50% power, red-need recharging 50%-20% power. The handle is 1" in diameter and the head is about 2-1/4" making it top heavy but the head is where all the electronics are and the heat are concentrated so that the handle stays cooler. Despite of the many improvements that this light should have, it is a great light better than most of the ones I own. Buy it and you will be very delighted.

Finally, a GREAT flashlight at a reasonable price!
After wasting good money on other bad flashlights, I am delighted to finally review a flashlight that’s made my good list of useful camping tools. This flashlight has an excellent light beam that cuts through the air a tremendous distance to illuminate your targeted area. It is very well built, it has an awesome light pattern that’s usefully adjustable and a battery pack that holds 3 AAA batteries & it also comes with a size tube that allows you to insert a single 18650/3.7V battery as an option (although an 18650 Battery is NOT included). That’s thinking ahead for the user... the designer definitely had a BRIGHT IDEA! Now that I’m preparing this review, I realize that I should go ahead and order one for my wife’s car. Overall, I’m totally satisfied with this purchase and I’m confident you too will be pleased if this is your chosen flashlight to purchase.

Very Bright
I find this very useful or versatile. I can use it at home but I've use it on the beach, at night, sun down. At high setting, the beam only last like 30 mins. But I don't see a reason why I should use it that high unless some weird emergency. I usually set at low and the beam is still plenty bright and still last for hours. The digital display of 9 to 1 tells me when the battery is low. The wide beam and low setting is bright enough for me to catch beach ghost crab.

Not so Decent light and there are better options
Update: after the battery died, I tried to charge the flashlight. It will not charge and does not work anymore. Spend extra and get a better lightAfter my wife decided she really liked my q8 flashlight I bought she wanted to get one for herself and the kids to use. She bought this one cause of the high lumen rating and the fact that it has a internal rechargeable battery which she thought would be convenient. Be warned this is a chunky bodied light. It's almost as big around as a soda can.Ok, so this is a decently bright light but its NOT putting out anywhere near what it says it does lumen wise. My q8 is rated for 5k lumen and a lot of independent testers have verified that statement. This sondiko is not as bright as mine, it close to 5k lumen but nowhere near the 10k it advertises. Otherwise the beam pattern is pretty nice with a slight hot spot in center but not horrible. I tend to prefer a slight hot spot in my patterns anyways so that was perfectly fine for me.The body seems more like it's a cheap casting that was cleaned up and not a truly machined piece. The knurling is not very grippy and almost seems smoothed over. The threads are not square cut and the o-ring placement leaves doubt whether it's truly water tight. There does not seem to be as much mass to the body as well. which for some might be a slight bonus as it weighs less but remember the body is the heat sink also so it will heat up in the hand quicker and hotter. The user interface is pretty straight forward and simple to master. Nothing fancy or programmable like some other lights out there but that can be a benefit to the non flashlight geeks out there lol. I do have my doubts as to how long the button will last for as well.Charging is a simple affair. the internal battery is a nice feature for the average joe who does not happen to own any high drain 18650 batteries like most of the high output flashlights require these days.Over all it's not a bad purchase but for almost the same price there are a lot better options to be had. It's a decently bright light for the casual user but not as advertised and honestly the body of the light just seems kind of chintzy when compared to my other flashlight. It's a good buy for the casual user but a flashlight enthusiast (yes, that's a thing lol) would more than likely be let down.
