Well made sturdy reel. So far I’ve not had a problem with this reel. Easy to clean and the seal has held up. The drag is smooth at any setting that I choose. So far.I am presently using this reel with three extra spools for each of my 6wt, 8wt, 10wt and 12wt saltwater fly poles. To clarify, I have four reels in the appropriate sizes with three extra spools for each size reel. And I found out that the 6wt reel balances on my 6wt freshwater fly poles nicely. So I picked up four more spools each for my 6wt and 8wt freshwater lines.The reel comes with a protective neoprene case, not a pouch or pull string bag. The spare spools also come in a neoprene case also. Somy reels and spools are well protected while traveling.I have not dropped my reels on asphalt or concrete. So I have no idea how they will hold up this abuse.Only time will tell.What I am not happy with is, with drag backed off all the way, I can’t palm spin the spool to take up line. I believe this is caused by the seal on the drag.But I have adjusted to this minor inconvenience.I have fell in love with this reel. It meets my needs.

Bought this reel on the 7/9 size and paired it with an 8wt rod. Easily fit more than 200yds of braided backing on the reel. Took it out the day after I received it and landed more than 20 striped bass between 18-24" on it. The drag performed flawlessly in the saltwater. I haven't dunked the reel yet so only time will tell how it will stand up, but I really like it so far. The only minor complaint I have is that even at it's lowest setting, the drag still applies a decent amount of force to spool, making it a bit of a chore to take out line before casting. My other reels allow the spool to move freely at their lowest settings, which makes taking line out easier. Other than that i love the reel so far.

Awesome reel! It holds about 300 yards of backing.

My husband purchased this reel for our daughter because he has one himself that he loves. The price is right and she loves it! We are an outdoor family and fish a lot.

Killer reel for the money. Even handles kings in Alaska no problem!

I use it with a Spey rod. there is nothing to dislike.
