This works with my GoPro 7 black with dive housing. It is a vast improvement over the switchblade lens I had for my GoPro 4 silver with dive housing. It has a screw to hold it to the housing-the old one had plastic teeth, which of course broke. Only downside is that the door that swings the macro lens open is held on by plastic, which can pop off. This should have a leash, or not be able to pop off—bad design, and biggest flaw. Red lens can slide up, but I use it all the time underwater and need to remember to release any air each dive. Overall a great lens, but needs a cover for when not in use to protect from scratches.

The first time I had the opportunity to use the product was this past weekend and unfortunately I’m now past the ‘return’ window, but I would really like my money back or credit. The way that the lens cover attaches to the camera case is flimsy at best & even in the best conditions I cannot imagine it staying on the camera, much less using a go pro like its meant to be used. The macro-lens itself is very heavy so I was worried about it dragging my camera down while diving, but that wasn’t the biggest problem. The red part of the lens and the macro worked fine, however the first time I removed the macro-lens under water to go back to regular filming, the lens cover itself must have fallen off because the next time I went to record a video (maybe a minute later) the lens cover was gone. This product needs improvement, the small ‘ring’ that holds the product in place needs to be sturdier and click into place rather than just fitting over the camera case. Now I have a macro lens paper weight that is useless with out that lost attachment.

This product is a macro lens for GoPro 7 and it did fit and it did add some closer magnification. Not a ton but noticeable. Better than other models I’ve tried with older go pros. Lens is legit heavy glass not going anywhere. The only critique that I have for this item is that the lens is so heavy that it sometimes swings openif the camera is facing Down. I use it a lot scuba diving. Got to kind of secure the lens Closedto the frame it’s In. Rubberband ;)

I loved that this was a an aluminum frame with glass lenses, but for my current rig setup it was way too heavy.
