Good Reasonable Jacket
I have had this jacket for 4 months and have no complaints. It fits well, the elbow aromour straps secure the protection well, vents work well, one of the pocket liners is starting to tear a bit but I have never had a jacket of any sort where this doesn't happen. The detachable liner is great and keep me quite warm on rides in the 50 degree weather range. On very hot days it is a bit hot as it only has two chest vents but that's probably the case with any jacket aside from mesh. Armour in the shoulders is just padded foam I would guess and the back protection is good. Fortunately I haven't had to test it out. Jacket secures well with the waist velcro straps. I do wish it had a couple more internal pocket when the liner is out. Liner has a couple extra pockets. Neck opening is a bit tight for me (16.5 neck) having an extra button may be a good idea. All in all for the price it has worked for me. I am sure there are much better jackets out there but for the cost this is much better than not having an armoured jacket. Truth is some riders can't afford $250-$300 jackets and buying this line of products is better than riding with non motorcycle gear. I would buy this again.Update:Now that I have had this jacket for a full year with quite a bit of riding including a 4500km trip I would add it is still in very good shape. Zippers are good still. Doesn't seem to be much wear at all. I did take a dump and slide (albeit on grass, slow, and I landed other side of the curb) it provided a nice comfy landing Thankful all the various padding was there. The only negative comment I can make on this jacket, and it's not the manufacturer or sellers fault is I wouldn't buy a Leather and Textile jacket again. Cleaning is an issue. Textile you can just throw in the laundry and leather you can clean with leather cleaner. Having both on one jacket is an issue. Getting the textile part clean without washing it is impossible. I did end up throwing it in the laundry after no being able to handle all the dead bugs and dirt anymore and it came out clean. Just hang dry. But I don't think the leather will hold up to many washes.

I feel safe in this jacket.
I bought this jacket because I liked the style of it. It is a nice heavy jacket that has pads in the right places. It is well suited for colder climates. It is miserable in the heat. (I ended up buying a mesh jacket for warm days.) There are three zippers that make up the venting system on this jacket. Two on the chest, one on each side just above the white stripe, and one across the back again above the white line. These small slits do nothing because I've found that once unzipped the jacket just folds back over the slits again. I was nervous about the sizing as everyone says to order a million sizes larger than you actually wear so that you can camp out in it in the event all the hotels are full I guess. I am 6' 210lbs and I ordered a large. It fits tight through the chest especially if I lift my arms out and up to the side as in making the 'Y' in YMCA. This will make the waist rise to about my belly button. I don't see this as a problem because I don't ride in that position I ride with my arms out in front of me which in that position the jacket fits well. Also in the event of a crash I don't want to have so much room in my jacket that the pads move and shift around. Pads are tight (ie football, hockey) and so should be the jacket that you expect to save you from a crash at high speeds in traffic. I know it's been said to get comfortable gear so that you'll wear it but in all of my sporting career I've noticed that if you're not at least a little uncomfortable then you're probably not as safe as you should be. This is a protective jacket not a pajama top.

Very good for my needs
I really love this motorcycle jacket. It isn't the most hardy of builds but I think it will last many seasons for my use. It was really put to the test during my 2500 mile trip and I used every bit of its features, from venting in hot weather (barely vented, so warning there), to rain, to zipped tight with a liner in chilly weather, and it did well enough in all situations. The only things I would warn is that the front zipper doesn't have top notch air blocking, so a cross wind can seep in some cold air, and it isn't entirely water proof - a hard rain will still get you wet in the arms. But still, for the price, it is a wonderful jacket. If the material and build quality were a couple steps better in these areas, I'd gladly pay double for it.

Confidence
I've only tried it on, it's been too hot (mid 90s) to really put it to the test. I walked outside with it on and instantly began sweating. This thing feels super secure and adds confidence. I never anticipate a crash, but I will be prepared. Slight complaint; the sizing chart was slightly less than an inch too short for my arms. I had to return the medium and order the large. I could of not measured correctly but I went off a dress shirt, then measured twice on my own arm. LeatherUp is just freaking amazing, awesome service.

Sharp-looking
Bought the size L for my son, wow did he look sharp. Made him look about 15 lbs slimmer too. The zip out liner is wonderful, it came in and out about 15 times in 6 months depending on the weather. The armour sections are mom-wonderful, and placed so they didn't affect motion or bending. This jacket is absolutely more helpful in an accident than a leather jacket, and it makes the wearer look sexy. The wearer looks more like a healthy racecar driver than a roadside tavern beer-drinker. My son wore this and a full-face helmet to go to high school 3 miles away, and I felt in this jacket he would survive almost anything that went amiss.

Packaging was awesome. The size is exactly as hoped
Packaging was awesome. The size is exactly as hoped. I ordered a large expecting it to be just a little big in case I needed to put it on over extra layers. It is extremely warm and wind resistant. Not to sure how long the plastic zippers are going to last, but for the money I think I got a really good deal

Nice jacket. I haven't tested it since I never fell off my bike but the quality looks good. I think it would do a good job at offering a decent protection for the upper body in the event of an accident. I hope I never have to find out.
