Evan (Novella): 3.5 (A Carter Brother series Book 3)

I have read the Carter brothers series and for some reason I missed this one the first time around I know that it is a novella and a lot happens in the story but it is fast paced for me but i still love the characters

To anyone who is familiar with the series they know that Evan is the brother of the heroine from book 2. And from the way we were introduced it didn't take much to think that Lexi, his next door neighbor, was going to be his love interest but I was pleasantly surprised to find out she wasn't. Evan and Kennedy were a coupled that paired amazingly together and surprisingly I liked both the H and h, which is something that doesn't always happen in stories. But I was rooting for both Evan and Kennedy.Evan was a man who lived for his job and because of that he had separated himself from his family. But this has unintended consequences when his sister is harmed and in the aftermath this has him reevaluating his life and what he wants from it. He wants to fix his relationships with his family especially his sister and begin to find that one woman who will be his wife and begin his own family. Little does he know that his desire for a family of his own will be fufilled.Kennedy is a girl who had a rough start to life but never gave up on hoping for a better future. She is a woman who doesn't have many she loves completely but the one person she does love is one she will do anything for and so she goes looking for the one person who can help her do that. But that one person will change both their lives forever and for the better.This was a really great story and in most cases I really don't have like the type of insta-lust/love type stories but it was handled well in Evan (the book). I think that both characters were in a place in life where they were open to finding that one person to love without all the major angst and miscommunication. Plus, they both had one person in common who helped to bring them together because of their mutual love for that person.Another great thing about this book is the setup for Max's story at the end. I can't wait to see what that was all about.----------------------Slight Spoiler-------------------Though I have to say in this book I slightly disliked Evan's sister in this book at the beginning but all was forgiven in the end. It was just in that particular scene my heart broke for Evan because you know he was nervous and wanted his sister to love and accept everything and you could feel how hurt and disappointed he was by her reaction. Also, I was expecting more interaction with his father.

It's shorter then the other books in the series but it's still a very good read. Even though Evan was a supporting character in the other books he stood out from the rest of the supporting characters in this series. I was glad to see he got his own book. He really needed his own HEA.

So I really didn't like Evan in Mason and Denny's book, but this story has shed a whole different light on him, really loved him here. How he fell in love with his daughter, how he took Kennedy in and took care of her as well, really nice job. I really enjoyed

This story is so beautiful! You have a great love story, some action (drama) and it goes perfectly together. I can’t wait to read the next book!!!

Evan played a big role in the Carter Brothers lives and enjoyed his character very much.

After reading Mason, I was curious about Denny's brother. I loved him in this book. He stepped up and took care of the girls.

I almost forgot who Evan was. The author leaves almost no one's story untold, LOL.

Here's my reviewAt first I got Malik mason and myles then I saw Evan and I thought well it's a novella that doesn't sound the best do I go with my gut here or what? Cause I've made the mistake of getting them before and really not being able to get into them but seriously guys Evan is a has-to-be-read book literally if you've read the others I massively recommend this book love her work and cannot wait for max!!!

Another fantastic book by Lisa I honestly couldn’t stop reading so captivating from the first sentence can’t wait to read what happens next in Max

What can I say, like the rest of this series it just great funny at times but also sad but it is definitely a must read like the others, it downy really have the brothers in but it is just as good so please read right to the end and you won't be disappointed.

I have ready all the carter brother and faith, aiden and landon in two weeks. I have been addicted and haven't been able to put them down. They have put me through every emotion possible whether it's anger, sadness, happyness or excitement I have loved every minute of it. So thank you. Can't wait to read your other books.

I'm seriously loving the Carter Brother series! It was really interesting getting to read Evan's story and see him get his HEA with Kennedy & Imogen - super cute little family! :)Can't wait to read Max & Maverick's books! :) ❤️
