Dull but worthy
This story is currently available in print in Wonder Woman By Greg Rucka TP Vol 1.This/that collects the graphic novel “The Hiketeia” and Wonder Woman #195-205, from 2002-04.DC are reprinting big volumes of many pre-Flashpoint series at the moment, possibly because post-Flashpoint (New 52) sales have been bad, or merely because they like to keep older fans happy. This has the added bonus of (re-)introducing Greg Rucka’s work on this series now that he will be the writer of the “Rebirth” Wonder Woman - the latest DC reboot.I found this volume to be readable, but it was weighed down by being a male-written attempt at a feminist comic book, and therefore laboured the point a bit; whereas female writers seem to just get on with telling a good story and let the feminism sort itself out as they go.

Better than average Wonder Woman story.
I really liked "The Hiketeia". It was an interesting storyline for Wonder Woman. The Hiketeia is a vow of servitude. A young woman vowed her loyalty to WW and Diana is required to care for and protect her. Batman wanted to take her in for murders that the woman committed in Gotham. WW refused because of the Hiketeia and a fight between Diana and Batman ensues. I enjoyed the fight between WW and the Batman. Why the woman did what she did in Gotham is very sad because I can see that situation actually occuring in the world we live in. It is also a sad ending but is appropriate for the storyline. It is not just for an emotional impact. I don't think WW fans will be disappointed.

Great Story
After reading this story I agree with many people that is the best story of Wonder Woman ever, a very bad treated character in comics with bad scripts but good draws. The way it is draw is incredible and the color too. The story doesn't end well it's a Greek drama but you find the story interesting and how actual problems are involved. Greg Rucka and his team have mad a great job. I recommned this story if you're a fan of Batman and Wonder Woman.

Don't Be Fooled By The Cover
Although the cover makes The Hiketeia look like just another wish-fulfillment story of superheroes duking it out, the story is actually much more nuanced than that. Multiple perspectives are presented in a no-win scenario and both Batman and Wonder Woman are portrayed well. This story is a great introduction to Wonder Woman's character, highlighting her time as an ambassador as well as the true strength of her character which is her love and compassion for others (something Rucka did well in his run on Wonder Woman). There's not much action, but the story is still compelling. I'd say it's a must-read for Wonder Woman fans.

Great story.
Only reason for 4 stars is because it had some sticker glue on the cover - Zippo lighter fluid worked perfect to remove the glue. Great story.

Christmas Gift for younger sister
I want to get my younger sister into comic books and I think Wonder Woman is a good role model and something that my sister would enjoy reading. My sister likes Batman, as so do I, and I have always seen this comic as a good story and I figured that she would really appreciate it.
