Frank Sinatra - The Main Event [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]

First, you have to remember it was a live broadcast. Then you have the introduction by Howard Cosell who absolutely nails it. You see Frank waiting to go on and he seems nervous. The walk to the stage seems like a heavyweight fight is about to happen. He takes the stage. He takes the mike. He takes the audience, puts them in the palm of his hand and we're off. This was when we had stars. I know of no one who comes close to him. His mastery of lyrics is beyond compare. Elvis probably commanded an audience on a par with him. I was not lucky enough to see either in a live performance but if I had to make a choice, I'd choose Frank.

Very interesting TV Sinatra music retrospective concert performance! This DVD was Sinatra's 1st showcase after taking a one year vacation from his performance schedule! Not using his voice during his one year absence affected his material delivery! Few will be aware of this factor when screening the ABC Wide World of Sports Madison Square Garden "Sinatra - The Big Event" 60 minute concert.

Wow..Just the idea of staging a concert as a boxing match is a show by its self. Its nice to watch Sinatra at work and see the re-action of people/fans ringside.

I love Frank Sinatra and this DVD you played on TV it is nice and clear DVD.

Sinatra in his element...bought this for my Father-in-law. He is currently ina retirement facility..it brings a twinkle to his eyes!

This is an amazing performance by the chairman of the board and I'm glad I was able to get it right away on Amazon!

SINATRA HAS DONE A GOOD JOB, BUT THE SOUND IS NOT RECORDED IDEALLY.

This is classic Sinatra. Difficult to find this dvd now, but if you can get it, you'll love it (even though it leaves you wanting more).

What a man. What a show. Could be his best ever performance of "I've Got You Under My Skin".

This was for my twenty fifth wedding anniversary as a gift to my husband we had this on video many years ago was so pleased to find it on DVD quality and delivery was perfect Thankyou so much one happy husband would recommend this seller

Had to wait over a month for this DVD but got it in the end,Was it worth it and the £40 you bet.Mr Sinatra the best of the best.
