The oring was dry rotted and caused a leak. This kit fixed the leak.

After a hard freeze broke the plastic parts inside my sprinkler system’s vacuum breaker valve, these replacement parts made it easy to repair and get back in working order. I’m very pleased I didn’t have to replace the entire valve.

Had this big leak in my sprinkler system after an unexpected freeze and was afraid it would be a big ticket item to repair. Using this part to fix the valve was a godsend. Great solution if you maintain your sprinkler system yourself and don't want to pay a guy $150 to do something that takes 5 minutes and requires no tools. I blew up the old backflow vent after forgetting that the outflow was shut and sending all the pressure through this plastic part. (This is where the professionals who charge $150 are laughing at me. Yeah, I know) The good news here is that all you need to do is unscrew the top of your backflow preventer, replace the broken parts with this kit, screw the top back on and you are ready to go for winter.
