I am professional gardener and have used these pruners for more than 10years....I bought this replacement pair after all these years the spring finally wore out....but, I have worked this tool hard and many long work hours. I have tried other brands, like Fiskars and Corona, but the Bahco are best overall.

Bahco can do no wrong when it comes to making professional quality garden shears and secateurs. I write as a gardener who has used Bahco secateurs for some time. I've also used many, many pairs made by the firm's competitors. All of these rival cutters are now missing bits, (especially the spring), are blunt, and/or are loose so that they mangle and maim rather than shear cleanly.It's only in comparison to the lesser brands that the Bahcos stand out. The spring which returns the handles to the open position is of the old fashioned, coiled-wire variety, as opposed to the strange rolled metal strip that seems to be the standard for a lot of other firms and which inevitably falls out and gets lost. The clip that holds the handles shut is a very basic fold-around clasp that ties one arm to the other. It's not as user-friendly as the safety mechanism on other cutters, but it works, and again, it doesn't fall off.The build quality and reliabilty of the Bahcos is streets ahead of the nearest rivals. These boys keep trucking forever.

I was intending to purchase a more expensive make of secateur until i read several glowing reviews for this product, I'm glad i saved a considerable amount of money because this item compares more than favourably with it's more illustrious counterpart very well made, durable and robust, will, I'm sure last for years with the proper care and attention, both of which I intend to administer, do yourself a favour if you intend to treat yourself to a pair of reliable and trustworthy secateurs give these a try, you won't be disappointed

The user reports that they are fine. The only grumble is that they can stick a little. I am not sure if this is a fault, or a maintenance issue.

A very good secateur. I'm a professional gardener and I need a pair who can put up with a lot of hard use. Worth getting. very reasonable price for the quality.
