I use these for so many things. Oils for my skin, acid peels (they roll on neatly and I can avoid wasting product that absorbs into the cotton pads), homemade perfume, medicine that I have to put on my dog's skin, etc.Simple to use, and they look nice enough to carry around. I make nice clear labels on a laser printer and they look great on the bottles.One star - product is dangerous and should be off the market or never exist at allTwo stars - product is good in concept but has very bad quality or fell apart quicklyThree stars - I wouldn't buy it again, no serious defects, just not as nice as most other products of its type, or super cheaply built and I think it won't hold up over timeFour stars - I like it but would change one or two things. the reviews almost scared me off. I debated between 4 and 5 stars. They were definitely new, in good shape and all of them fit and worked beautifully. I bought these bottles to use for essential oil blends that we frequently use (diluted). They were easy to fill, refill and use. no issues at all with the roller balls fitting in or working properly with any of the 18 bottles.My only disappointment is that after about 5-6 months, the ones in use started developing cracks in the plastic stopper that holds the ball and seals with the bottle. I realize that's probably due to the essential oils breaking down the plastic, so I didn't subtract a star for my disappointment there.The only thing that I wish were different, is I wish there was a way to seal between the black lid and the glass bottle so that you could use these bottles to store liquids without the rollerball in place. I guess it'd be hard to do since they are designed to be used with the roller.I still use the bottles to store small things I want to carry with me when I'm on the go (bobby pins or medicine or mints), but other than storing dry items, they aren't very useful once the rollerball breaks out.Wish the company had an option for just ordering the rollerball inserts.Overall, though, they were great while they lasted.

After reading all of the negative comments, I passed on ordering these. But after searching for other options and re-reading the positive notes I decided to take the risk because of the affordability of 18 roll on bottles. I'm glad I did! The order arrived on time in an amazon box. Inside the amazon box was a small box and some of those larger pillows of air. The small box had each glass bottle in a cardstock compartment while the plastic balls (assembled in their housing), black screw on lids and a clear plastic dropper were all nestled in another compartment. I did the sniff test to see if these were used and smelled nothing. I filled one with water and looked closely for residue and other scents, but again nothing. They were clean and appeared to be brand new. I've added my Doterra oil and fco, pushed in the roller ball piece and used the oil right away with success. After a week of daily use there are no leaks, no cracks and the roller is smooth! Please know I am an opinionated, educated and frugal Iowa gal who is very happy with this product!

I'm a photographer and I'm often out for long periods of time shooting at events. I get a bit sweaty from moving around so much in often-stressful situations with a lot going on. I bought these to fill with cologne so that I can keep one in my pocket to freshen up every once in awhile and they're great for that purpose.Mine came brand new (just checked again for any lingering smells - none found) so no problems there. One thing is that the balls are a bit rough, they have a matte type finish & you can feel the seams on a couple of them. As I usually only use them for a quick application (I draw a line on each wrist & another line on each side of my neck), it's not a huge problem, though it would be nicer if they were a little smoother. I haven't had any problems getting the ball rolling, I usually just roll it once to get it wet & then on the second roll it produces a smooth consistent line & sometimes it even gets a smooth line on the first roll.I have noticed a bit of leakage when I left this in my car for a little bit, but it wasn't enough to be concerned about. It was just a small amount & my cologne was for the most part safe & still ready for use. I like the thickness of them, they're good for storing in a car, bag or even a pocket. The size helps when filling... I can't get the top off of my cologne so I just spray it straight into the bottle and it collects just fine. It would be nice if they were a bit slimmer to fit better in a pocket, but then they would be harder to fill.Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. If you need a container with a roller ball to apply fragrances or essential liquids throughout the day, these are a great option.

I'm using these for essential oil blends. Ideally I'd get amber or cobalt glass ones, but these were much more cost effective so it's a minor sacrifice, and I'll just keep them away from light. As there were many reviews talking about the roll ons not rolling effectively or falling out, I tried many of the roll ons in my batch and so far haven't had any issues with roll ons not working or falling out. I also made sure that the roll ons were easy to put on and take off of the bottle and that when the roll on was in place, the cap could securely fasten. No issues with that at all.Others also mentioned that they had issues with leaking, and I carried a full roll on around during errands, and even had it upside down at one point without any issues. Lastly, these were clean bottles, well packed and never used, so I'm thinking that customers getting used bottles is an isolated incident.Overall I love these, they are very convenient to use, come together quickly, and come back apart without much of a struggle to reuse. You could use these for so many applications, particularly to make travel kits for things like toner, etc.
