2 New KICKER DS68.2 6x8 180W 2-Way Car Audio Component Speakers 11DS682 Pair

We own a '97 Mustang Convertible.This car came with the standard (non-upgraded) stereo and speakers. The entire system has seen better days and, with the top down, it is nearly impossible to hear decent music. The fact that the speakers are low on the front doors, with no tweeters, does not help in the least bit.I did replace the stereo at the same time as the speakers, so that also helps. The speakers can't take all the glory, but they sure help.The directions are extremely simple and easy to follow.The 6x8 went on the stock location on the doors; simple swap.The crossover, although fairly large, fits easily behind the door panels. It allows for some tweet adjustment, which helps get the right sound and makes it for a customizable set-up.The car, as I mentioned earlier, did not have tweets. I looked at several options, including flush mount, but I ended up going with surface mount. I do wish the surface mount adapter looked better but, for the price, I can't complain.Once it was all said and done, I couldn't be happier with the results. It sounds great, for a '97 Stang, the looks don't impact it negatively (doesn't look high end, but neither does the car), I can now FINALLY hear the music with the top down (especially the voices and highs), and I didn't break the bank, so I got to purchase a Bluetooth compatible stereo. Couldn't be happier!!!

These do a pretty good job. The highs are very crisp and the overall mid-range is excellent. The bass is not spectacular, but about what I expect from a 6X8 speaker. I like the adjustable gain on the crossover, but I set mine at +3 before re-installing my door panels, this was a mistake. Set them at 0, especially if you are playing MP3s or you may find the tweeters too brilliant. When the weather warms I will be adjusting mine.I upgraded my front speakers in a 2003 Taurus, along with installing a MACH amplifier, the added wattage really made these sing. If the bass were a little better I would have given them a 5 star.

Decent speakes. Better than I expected. Much better than stock speakers, and coaxials. The midbass is a little muddy at higher levels (only running off Pioneer head unit), but I'm going to try to clean them up with a small amp and Audio Control EQ. The tweets are definitely better than the cheap $20 tweets you can get at Wal-Mart. This was a pretty good deal for the price. My Sundowns running off 2600 clean watts no longer drown out my mids and highs (unless I turn the gain up on my amp). Pretty content with them so far.

Mounted these in a 2003 f150 with stock radio. Mounted them with the tweeters in the rear doors just above head level. They work great and of course they outperformed the stock speakers tremendously. Can crank it all the way up without distortion, of cousre it is low watt stock unit. They fit great and am happy as they are. Will see what happens when i upgrade the rest of the system.

Installed on a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. Some mods had to be made on the speaker bracket but not too bad of a hassle.Woofer sounds great!The tweeter included...not so. The tweeter looks and feels cheap. It sounds okay but not its under par from what I expected.The mids sounds better than the factory but the highs sounds the same.

These speakers replaced the factory door units in my 98 Ranger single cab. I did a flush mount on the tweeters. I also installed the  Kicker 11ds68 6x8 Coaxil Speakers Pair Rohs  in the stock locations behind the seats. Combined with the  JVC Arsenal KD-A735BT CD receiver  I installed at the same time, these speakers produced excellent sound. Even with the volume turned way up, I didn't get any distortion. I've also got a 10" woofer being pushed by a 250 watt amp to round out the low end.

This component set is a no brainer for the money. It was an easy install, and the sound I was well pleased with.

Build quality is ok , sound quality not even close , price is the only thing pleasing ... buy the CT Sounds stuff , TOP SHELF at very nice prices
