BEST for my 7 yr son who struggles with reading!!!
I cannot say enough about these Bad Kitty books. My 7 year old son has struggled with speech and reading, he needs a lot of help and encouragement. He started with IEPs, aLexia Core at school, lots of help at home etc. We got the Elephant and Piggie books and those really honed in all his skills he had been working on and boosted his confidence – he could read them all by the end of 1st grade. Now for his summer reading (between 1st and 2nd grade) he is reading and enjoying these Bad Kitty books!! He can read these books 95% ON HIS OWN, a chapter a day. We tried the TreeHouse series, but he’s still a slow reader that has to sound out most words, so the TreeHouse books wouldn’t move quick enough (or interesting enough) and there’s hardly any pictures in them – for my still struggling reader). These Bad Kitty books have pictures on every page, they have some pages with a lot of words, and some with a little … so it doesn’t get discouraging but it’s still challenging. There are also Fun Fact pages which I mostly read to him, to give him a break, and so he learns something new, interesting, and fun. I really cannot say enough about these books for my son – they are exactly what he needs right now to continue to challenge and improve his reading skills, give him confidence, and dare I say an interest in reading. 😊 Oh these books are also hilarious!!! We both enjoy them 😊 so cleverly written we genuinely find them funny and want to keep reading, so helpful!!! THANK YOU!

Much anticipated book!
For 5 months I have been asked by my 8 year old, “WHEN IS THE NEW BOOK COMING?!” Well, we got it just after the New Year and just in time for our holiday gift giving.Sadly, this book was overshadowed a bit by the Bad Kitty Makes Comics book that was received at the same time, but it was still a hit. These books are amazing, especially for kids on the autism spectrum. I’ve written a few reviews about them and will continue to rave about them until he quits reading them and we quit buying them. Don’t worry, I think that will be college. Or later. And then there is always grandkids.....We went from 1 borrowed library book last year to owning 11 of his favorite titles. We’ve also borrowed all the titles we can from our local libraries.I homeschool and my 8 year old was a very reluctant reader. We went from late kindergarten reading last year to starting 3rd grade this week. One of the most wonderful sounds to hear is your child sounding out words and laughing. It’s like their first steps as a baby. Then the full reading and laughing. I remember each of these moments like they were yesterday. Well, one of them WAS yesterday but I’m sure I’ll remember it next year. These books put my son onto the path of reading. Grateful does not begin to express what I feel.

Bad Kitty Isn't Bad....she's funny
I've been reading Bad Kitty books to my grandaughter for the past three years. She was only two when I bought her first book. She is five now and loves all the stories. We have such a great laugh at all the antics of Kitty. I highly recommend all the Bad Kitty books.

Delightful
My kids LOVE the Bad Kitty collection! They love to read them to me and I admit, they are cute. I know if I were their age these books would be right up my alley.😀

Keep the Bad Kitty books coming!! 😻
We love Bad Kitty! My 7 year old goes through them in within a day but frequently reads them over again... and cracks up every time! As a parent, that is something that you love to see and hear! We have fun reading them with her, as well.*Spoiler Alert*In Camp Daze, Puppy goes to a camp for dogs to get a vacation from the stress of living with Kitty (even though Kitty is the one who has been getting terrorized by Puppy and Baby). Kitty ends up sneaking into the camp, where the camp counselor is Uncle Murray. The relationship Kitty has with Uncle Murray does not disappoint in this book. The two are silly and will leave your kiddo, and you, giggling 😊

Highly Recommended as a 1st chapter book or struggling readers, but great for all!
Love this series! As a teacher & parent, I stumbled onto Bad Kitty Meets the Baby at a school book fair. My 5th graders LOVED it & begged for more. I have bought several sets of all the books. I use them for read alouds to teach specific fictional & authors' choices objectives. When I assign them as reading homework, my students always finish them. My son started reading them in first grade and still pulls them off the shelf to reread now that he's on third grade.
