Did the job I bought it to do. Only issue is that the middle connector loosens up with use and you have to tighten it occasionally.

This tool is made up of about $10 worth of black steel pipe, one small flange, and 4 mild steel tap screws. One could make is from parts in any hardware store. And it doesn't work well- the four screws will just pull-up a lump of soil. If you are very gentle, you'll make 4 little holes. There's no way this is could be practical for anything more than a few square feet of overseeding. There's other hand-tilling tools that are much more effective to make for sowing grass seeds in smaller areas. If you need to do large parts of a yard, this is definitely NOT the tool.

Great tool to aerorate your yard just by walkin up and down your grass and pokeing this in the ground every foot or so. Afterward, toss your grass seed down and when water hits it, instead of your grass just draining out into the street, the intent is for the seeds to flow down into the holes you just poked in the ground. Nice, cheap, quick way to get the job done !!!

Spiker a little on the heavy side to use. May require some to use both hands and arms.

Easy to put together; easy to use. I live in Virginia so the clay/dirt is a little to "sticky" - I had to keep knocking the mud off the spikes, but it still worked well. I am sure with softer soil this works even better. I think maybe a BIGGER plate would be preferred - maybe 6"x6" or 12"x12"? Might make it too heavy, but a bigger plate (and many more spikes) would be great if they could keep the weight manageable...overall EXCELLENT product

Product delivered exactly what it's supposed to do. Used it on my lawn and now it looks good and rid of the dead and burnt grass.

I was hesitant to buy this because of some negative reviews but I had been looking for a tool to help with planting seed in bare areas and this did the trick. It was easy to use and I had no problems with it at all.

You have a nerve charging over $50 for maybe $3 worth of weak metal parts. Buy a knitting needle instead, it would do a better job. I returned this through Amazon Returns immediately I opened the box
