Lightweight but very well built
First off the shoe is very comfortable. Add to that the great craftsmanship, a vibram sole, and the color orange and it is my go to every day shoe. Surprisingly lighter than my old Asics. My only negative is it is a touch narrow in the toes so go a half size up if concerned. Otherwise I'm very happy and look towards a long service life.

Really nice shoes.
Nice and sturdy - very comfortable shoes. I've used them in a few harsh environments already [Iceland Glacier hiking being one]. Love the shoes.I have to minus a star as a small portion of the bottom outer sole is coming loose after the first couple of weeks. I am hoping I can fix this so it doesn't get worse. Other than that, these shoes are so comfortable and sturdy they really add to your confidence when going out into the harsh weather for work of hiking.Update: Sole does not have an issue. Turns out it was a slice in the tread from hiking/working. Added the star back. I’d definitely buy another pair when the time comes.

Great shoe so far
I've owned these shoes for over 6 months now, having put 150+ miles on them. Thought it was time to write the review. So, I wear size 11 usually, since they don't make a 10.75 size. For this shoe, I intentionally bought size 11.5 with the intention of putting sport custom footbeds in (with additional arch support). The result was a snug fit and my feet don't move around at all inside the shoe. After breaking them in w/ new footbeds, these quickly became my fav all around hiking shoes. They are also great for bouldering, as the shoe is fairly stout/reinforced, especially around the toe box.If they are still this solid after a few hundred miles, I'll come back and give them another star.

Solid Hiking/Trekking Shoes
Whether hiking any trail or bushwacking off into no man's land, these shoes are my go to! The first thing I noticed when trying them on is the supportive yet minimal enough sole for all day hiking. They would do well as a bouldering shoe and look like a bulkier climbing shoe. Despite having an abnormally skinny foot, they fit well. These babies seem well made, and if they hold up for several years I will be loyal to the Scarpa brand. If purchased at the local REI, they surely would have cost ~ 25% more than the price here, and would still be a reasonable buy! Don't sleep on these hiking shoes

Lightweight, comfortable, and keep out moisture
I live in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, which is cold and wet in the winter months. These shoes have proved comfortable for wear outside in varied weather conditions. They are lighter and more comfortable then the three other pairs of Scarpa's that I own, and have quickly become my favorite shoes. This brand is well made, and the Crux is no exception. I've had a pair of Scarpa shoes last five years worn daily, so rest assured the shoes will be a good investment.

Nice quality and good looking
I wanted a stylish light hiking shoe that wasn't as bulky and clunky as most that are currently for sale. I have been very pleased with these shoes as they fit the bill perfectly. They are unique looking and stylish enough that I can wear them pretty much anywhere with casual dress. On the trail they are sturdy and well-padded. Really, I couldn't be happier and would recommend these shoes to anyone.

Good if used what they're intended for
This is what they looked like after 2 seasons of roofing. They were nice as approach shoes. Good for metal roofing, but not as durable as I would have liked. You can see the seam blowouts. I bought these for use while metal roofing and as an approach shoe while rock climbing. Overall a well made shoe. The rubber is sticky for scrambling on rocks and easy graded climbs. For work, they have good edging support and the durability of the rubber seems pretty good. The tongues do slip to either side at first, but now they seem to want to stay almost in place.
