I love the DualBrite sensors!
I had one of my old sensor start acting flakey after 15 years in the weather and could not find the exact replacement in the stores anymore. I found this online and it works perfectly. I did notice that the mounting thread that enters the electrical box is different and didn't screw tightly into the US box so I needed to use 2 nuts to keep things tight. (Maybe the thread is a metric EU thread now but it worked out fine in the end.)

GREAT range, very DURABLE, and easy to adjust and install
I have several Heath/Zenith light sets (5) that have these wonderful 270-degree motion sensors on them. I've had them at least 15 years. Not only is the range great, but it's also easy to adjust that range. The first set I installed (which comes with this motion sensor as part of the 2- light set) had the motion sensor recently go out. I thought I'd have to buy another whole light set and since the light set is a wonderful and efficient quartz halogen set, I was afraid I'd have to replace the whole thing with a more harsh-colored LED set. And I wasn't sure how the color was described and if it would match the other lights. So I called Heath/Zenith. There is no way they could have been nicer or more helpful. They explained exactly what to order, why, as well as the color details and how to install just the motion sensor. I was anxious because I'm not handy but their instructions were clear. A neighbor loaned me his ladder and we replaced the motion sensor just like the customer service technician said it would go, lickety-split!! It's been operating flawlessly, as all the others have, and I expect to get another easy 15 years out of this replacement. So far all of the other 4 sets are going great. I was so impressed with Heath/Zenith's customer service that given any option to buy their products over another company's, I'd go with Heath/Zenith in a heartbeat. a winner - much like the original
i'd rate my past experience with Heath/Zenith motion products as fair to middling. they work well for a while but durability is not a strength. the motion sensor on some of their outdoor floods may be the exception.the model HZ-5316-BZ motion sensor has very good durability. the outdoor fixture to which it is attached has been used for 12 yrs. it was after a severe t-storm that its original motion sensor malfunctioned and the light would just stay on after dark. i looked for and tried two other flood units with motion but they all have much less coverage. we have a large yard and need the broader coverage as the fixture is about 25' above the ground.this sensor is an identical replacement for the motion sensor that came with the original fixture. it's been up and running for 3 months now with seemingly slightly less coverage than the original but far better than the others we've tried. this go round, it switches a led lamp instead of a 300w halogen! still, it can handle either load. we do not use the dual-brite feature.we're hoping the led will be the last lamp replacement. the lack of heat certainly helps the fixture and its electrical contacts. bought 2 since these are becoming increasingly hard to find.

Great Sensor
This is a great Sensor, ignore the bad reviews. This review is for the Heath/Zenith HZ-5316-BZ Deluxe Replacement Motion Sensor with DualBrite, Bronze. It works perfect if you follow instructions and can read. This sensor has several settings. The main one is the Duel Brite setting. This is the one I use dusk to dawn, meaning that when the sun sets Lights come on and stay on until dawn. In this setting they are dim 50% power all night until motion is detected then they go 100% power for One, Five, or 20 minutes. Then if no more motion is detected they go dim again. There is also a Three and Six hour setting to come on at dusk, and a manual override to turn on 100% bright all night without motion by flipping the light switch. The only gripe I have is UV break down of lens. This is my third one in 13 years. In the summer time it's in full sun all day long. So if your ok with electric wiring it's a great sensor to add to outside lights.I took some pics trying to show the 50% and 100% but the low light setting on my phone made it look brighter. Another thing, this only works on incandescent lights only up to 500watts, and that is depending on your light fixture. Mine are 100 watts max which most home fixtures are. I use 53watt Halogen bulbs that have the output of 75w. So using the duel bright cuts my 53w in half. All of my outside lights have DuelBrite sensors added or built into the fixture. I love them and once my freinds and family saw they wanted.

Great replacement!
I was skeptical to order this to replace a previous model from 18 years ago but the company said it would work & they were right 👍🏻. Easy to connect & is working perfectly!

Bad Warranty Policy
Bummer…. It worked great for 150 days. But then it did not work. They say their warranty is good for five years, but you have to call them at their 800 number in Canada…. They are finally se dine a replacement

A little pricey but it is the direct replacement.
I could have replaced the entire light with a new LED for probably twice the price of the sensor. I figured I would give this a shot. I hope it holds up better than the old one. The lens over the old sensor just disintegrated. Judging from the look of it due to UV damage. It was an easy install as my light is listed in the compatibility list. Having said that, it should work with just about any incandescent light as long as there is a place to mount it. The range on the detection is excellent. The light is on my deck aimed at the steps, but it picks up deer half way across my yard, and the occasional feral cat. It does what it is supposed to and the and the half bright feature is kind of cool.
