I think the best part of this book (and Passini's others) is how ...
I already own John Passini's "green book" and wish that I had known about this one when published in 2008. This book is very well written, as are all John Passini's books, with just the right amount of technical, sense of humor, and experienced guidance, I think the best part of this book (and Passini's others) is how he conveys theory and operating principles from a first-hand experience, while simultaneously offering candid guidance for what not to do (and why) when rebuilding or reengineering a weber carburetor. Most readers would likely be exotic classic car enthusiasts, track-day and circuit racers, and professional mechanics, will all appreciate the first-hand experience for the information provided by Mr. Passini (like having a master mechanic in your reading room). Anyway, these were my take-aways. Well done.

Good Guidance
The book is generic (to many types of Weber) so by definition recommendations for specific applications are limited. It does however provide a good description of the different types of jets and their respective circuits in the various types of Weber carbs along with how the various circuits work together. References do however tend to be related to smaller engines and with single or twin carbs rather than more elaborate multiples. It is written in a very readable style which makes understanding easier. On the downside the font is very small (the book is A5 size) so if you are shortsighted it may not be ideal, (this does make it more portable however). On the whole a good book for the money. From an info position if you buy this you don't need 'Weber carburettors by Verlon P Braden' or vis versa either one is a good buy but not two.

Good book ONLY for technical background
This book provides LOTS of technical background on the carbs but NO practical tuning knowledge.

Literature
Very neat book, reads like a novel. It is a bit difficult to read for a carb-newbie, like myself, but a really cool read.

worked really well
The book is more high tech, more for raceing than what I need.. will try another book..

Small sized book, very difficult to read
Very small book, with small and difficult to read font. Illustrations are reduced in size and poor quality. Detailed illustrations of carburetor parts are good to have, but are not clear. Parts are numbered with no accompanying cross reference of parts and numbers! No reference to Weber carburetors used on the most popular cars! I’m not sure who posted all these positive comments.
