PaddywaxLibrary Collection John Steinbeck Scented Soy Wax Candle, 6.5-Ounce, Smoked Birch & Amber

I got the John Steinbeck candle and I love the smell so much! It's hard to explain, but it sort of reminds me of the Christmas holidays. Not really a fir/spruce but something reminiscent of cranberries and a burning log. I only light it for about 20 mins at a time and I keep it in the bathroom which is a small room so it's perfect for the space. The packaging is very nice as well.

I was terrified to buy this because there are just some horrific reviews but thankfully the candle ended up being what I'd hoped. Nice packaging, great complex scent ( slightly fruity and smoky with a pine forest base - would be great for holidays ). Will try another author when this candle gets to the end. Would make a great gift. I do wish Amazon had packed this a bit better. As a matter of fact you might not want to order other items at the time you order the candle, especially if it's a gift because the box got damaged ( slightly ) because it was packed haphazardly with another item I ordered ).

It arrived in fairly bad shape. The beat-up box looked shabby while the candle was slightly melted. I was going to return it as it was meant to be a present for a friend and I didn't feel great about giving an imperfect present. But I had no time to get something else for my friend's birthday so decide to keep it. Not happy about the condition but it's basically a great-looking candle and smells amazing. My friend LOVES loves this candle. In the end, it was a good purchase.

Steinbeck has always been my favorite author, so I knew immediately that I needed this candle. I was so pleased with the scent - its warm, comforting, and slightly woodsy. I would describe it as an androgynous scent - not "girly" at all, but definitely not that overpowering "man" scent, either. These candles as a bit on the expensive side, but they are beautiful and the scent really does fill the room.

Pricy, but they last a lot longer than you would expect for a candel this size and they put off a strong smell. I have not been disappointed with any of the author inspired scents

Definitely giftable and very aesthetically pleasing to style up our console. Scent is amazing too but the only downside is that you cant really smell anything unless you get super close. Still gonna give it a five star though for the looks!

Best scent in a candle that I have ever smelled. I got one from my son as a gift. Now I give this candle as my go to gift.

Amazing scent! Excellent price, about $5-$6 less than in retail stores. Everyone who has received this candle comments on what a beautiful, cozy, warm, unusual scent it has. Will be a tradition for my next Christmas.
