These were delicious! I worried about the shipping because I didn’t want them to come in pieces. However they were packaged so well and none of them were broken. My daughter loved them and it was a great price for how many packs you got!

I have been enjoying the freeze-dried ice cream for some decades now, though I am the only family member to do so. It was called Astronaut Ice Cream back then.Sitting in my house, this ice cream sandwich is good and has the delayed taste of the normally cold sandwich. By no means better, but still a tasty treat. However, out in the wild and miles from nowhere, this is a great treat to cap a meal by the smoke and fire. All the tastes of the original sandwich are there in rich flavors with the same creamy feel on the tongue.The only problem is the brittleness caused by its preservation process. Rough handling (or shipping) or tossing a backpack to the ground can shatter portions of the ice cream sandwich.I keep a supply on hand for hurricane preparedness, but with a shelf-life of about a year (from the date purchased), I need to rotate them out. My wife still won’t eat them, but after a hurricane, I wonder how many she will have.

These are so delicious! We love getting them as a treat. However they are very expensive and a rip off.

I remember I tried these back in middle school so one day I had the munchies and thought why not ordered a pack and they are great they melt in your mouth and are creamy and delicious

Always such a classic, unusual, item which I’ve always loved. Now my kids go crazy for “astronaut ice cream”.It used to be a gift we could only find in a certain museum in Washington DC but this holiday I found it here and had to get a four pack for my kids!These packs hold an entire freeze-dried Neapolitan ice cream sandwich; including the chocolate wafer things on regular ice cream sandwiches.I’ve never seen these before so they were a cool and unique find.They arrived right away and of course I couldn’t wait for Christmas to open them.If you’ve had astronaut ice cream before, I’m sure you’re aware that the texture almost always crumbles a bit. No one really cares when they’re eating fun space-food! I had a question for the seller about ingredients (nut-allergy family) and the seller got back to me immediately and went above and beyond to find info for me. Uncommon to have such a helpful person/seller here..Great product. Great seller.

This is very tasty freeze dried ice cream however I think it is way overpriced for the amount that you get. It’s not something that I can afford all the time and I wish it was, but it is a good product.

I bought these for my family to try. Everyone loved them. It's a fun, different/ weird treat the kids really enjoy + no mess like with real ice cream lolI read the reviews prior to ordering and the only complaint seemed to be that the ice cream was sometimes broken. We've opened 3 out of 4 packages now and all were totally intact. However we prefer them broken into little pieces so I give them a rough chop with a knife real quick, & put all the pieces into an airtight container and it keeps it fresh.Having it in pieces makes it easier for everyone to try, i imagine it's easier and less messy to eat as well since the sandwich would most likely crumble when you bite into it.

This 4 pack was great! Shared the experience with my fiance who has never been to a space museum (I went as a kid & ate the ice cream there). He wasnt a fan but I loved it. I think its more about the nostalgia for me. If I you have kids, I recommend ordering this and teaching them about nasa. Would make for a cool learning experience for little ones that cant go to an actual museum. note- its freeze dried, so it will break apart and possible make a mess (which is why I used a sandwich bag).
