Machine Elements in Mechanical Design

I got this book for my mechatronics course dealing with how to design machines. The first few chapters were pretty darn good, starting with the basics and getting you to know some of the "trade secrets." started talking about the different types of stock you can buy, the different alloys and what they do, and then got right into the physics of it - will it hold up. The book cost me about $50 dollars less than from the bookstore and was in near-perfect condition. I received it within a matter of days. All and all a really great deal for me.

I would add that the book is very illustrative having plenty of figures and tables.

Used the 5th edition for my Engineering course and found it to be full of useful information. Looking on Amazon, I found this previous edition for a lot cheaper. After reviewing the contents online, I decided to purchase for my personal reference. The 4th edition of this textbook has all the same information as the 5th, just some different analytical problems at the end of the chapters. I highly suggest this for anyone that wants the information that is in the 5th edition without spending a lot more money.

The book is in good conditions. I did not understand when I ordered that was coming without the CV as the original is.

I bought this textbook for Machine Design courses at university. The book provides excellent examples on every topic, as well as useful reference tables.
