Updated: I decided not to return, because the lion is cute, and made a fix for the part that broke. Floral wire secured to a button worked well as a hack threader. Will try wrapping inner ring of hoop with something to make it non slip. Hopefully I can complete the project.Original: I was really excited to try punch needle with this kit. The lion pattern is adorable! I love that it uses front and back stitching. Instructions included are fine, though I would recommend online tutorials as well. Unfortunately, the punch tool included has a threader that is too short and weak. It was hard to thread in the available area. It broke at the bend when I tried to change to the second color. If it were longer I might have been able to make it work, but there isn't enough length to try a twist fix. The bamboo ring is not the "no slip" style, so you need to watch the fabric tension. I was only able to complete the first step, so I'm not sure how it would have performed during the rest of the project. With a longer and/or stronger threader and better hoop I could have finished this easily. Sadly returning. I'm going to spend a little more for a quality kit.

It’s really cute, got to have on hand for last minute gifting but am considering keeping it for myself. Haven’t done the project kit has instructions and materials so I don’t anticipate any problems.

It was likely user error but I could not get it to work. The yarn would keep pulling through the cloth... so potentially the quality of the needle and/or cloth isn’t great. Threw it out after ruining the cloth from all my failed attempts.

I am not a person who always does well at crafts even though I enjoy trying them. This was a great project for me. The directions were easy to follow and the lion was quick and easy to complete. It’s an appropriate project for an adult and could be done by some children, especially with adult assistance. I love my lion!

Very nice kit, full easy to follow instructions. My very first project for needle punch. I definitely am hooked. I will be doing many more in the future. I didn’t do a perfect job on this one, I just know I will improve with practice this kit made learning this new craft easy.

This kit has everything needed to make the lion with some yarn to spare. I have never done punch needling before so sometimes I needed a video to watch to demonstrate the directions. They list their Instagram information that provides all the demonstrations I needed! Would definitely recommend to all.
