My alarm: This bite alarm bites
What a horrible stupid design.The alarm only goes off while the line is tight.You can't use it while trolling, since your line is always tight. And if you think you can trick it, and use a break away snap release for the line, then it's a) almost impossible to keep the line taught enough to stay put between the poorly designed trigger, but not so tight as to set the alarm off, and b) if the line comes out, which is does when the pole is twitched, it doesn't go off at all, and c) if the trigger motion moves the line the alarm will go off for a millisecond and you miss that.Horrible design, unusable piece of equipment, into the garbage it goes!The good news is it comes with batteries which you can keep when you throw the unit out, however, I don't have anything that uses that battery.All trash.
