OLD SCHOOL AT ITS BEST! These curlers are the best of its kind! If you don't know how to use a Marcel curler, you ain't curling your hair. I've been using them for years. They heat evenly with a thermostat dial and press & curl all in one. Always test your heat setting on a towel, if too hot, it will definitely burn your hair. It takes a little practice to master.

The cord separated from the handle while I was using it. When I have purchased locally never had an issue. This particular one was junk!

Provided great heat for straightening and curling but the temperature dial is loose which allows for unintentional increase or decrease in temperature with you knowing it. I burned my hair several times because I was not aware that the dial have moved up to a dangerous heal level.

The curlers get very hot so you have to be very careful that you don't burn yourself. They are also a little larger than I expected. I wanted some just about 1/2 inch. Theses seems to be pretty large like 1 inch. Other than that they are good.

Curling my hair

I believe that the finish on the gold n hot iron is better for coarse hair than the ceramic. It glides over the hair and gives a smoother finish. I've used them for years...tried the ceramics briefly but quickly came back. I'm going to order them in every size. Won't switch again!
