Stetson SWMTSK-8132 Mountain Sky Hat

Was searching for a Stetson to use as an "everyday" hat for outdoor activities from hiking to working on my property. The high-desert sun in southern Colorado can be brutal and I needed something that could weather the hot and dusty conditions without falling apart after a few months. (Canvas-style deck chairs and furniture, outdoor deck umbrellas and virtually any other outdoor item made of woven canvas to heavy fabric lasts a single Spring/Summer season before the combination of heat and sun turns those materials as brittle as dead leaves, leaving only a useless metal skeleton.)Didn't want to spend a fortune on a Stetson and this style and model met every expectation and then some! My hat measurement is 22 and a half and the medium was a perfect fit. It came carefully packed and the hat itself is a beautiful example of a Stetson, right down to the high-quality Stetson is known for. It wears nicely, with the sharp lines and sturdy feel of Stetsons twice the cost. Additionally, it is indeed waterproof in the lightest rain to the heaviest downpour. If you're looking for a cowboy hat with sleek lines and subtle curves, as opposed to a Yosemite Sam-style cowboy hat, this is the one to get!

Fits great. Feels good. Looks good. Great color in the dark brown.

What a great hat. I've had a DPC (Dorfman Pacific) hat in this style for 15 years that I replaced with this; the old hat was $40. The difference in quality is remarkable and immediately obvious. Based on my head measurement, I could have gone either way between a medium or a large; I decided to go with the large but I ended up using sizing tape around nearly the entire circumference. If you're head is "between" sizes, I'd suggest going with the smaller option. The color isn't quite as brown as I would like; I found the acorn color to be something between brown and khaki, with a very slight green undertone. Also, Stetson states that this hat includes a feather in the band but my hat did not; not that this is a deal breaker. While this hat is crushable, I found the felt to be fairly stiff. This might soften over time but, I get the sense that this hat will retain its shape very well and could easily be treated as a non-crushable hat and look great for many years.

This is a quality hat. If fits true to size, has a great band, and I love the color. I get compliments every time I wear it 🤠

Love the size and fit of the hat. Quality is great. Hat came neatly packaged and secured. PLEASE pay attention and go a size up from your normal hat size and you won't be disappointed. In my experience, Stetsons tend to run about half a size to one whole size small. My everyday ball cap size is a L/XL...Went with a 2X on the Stetson Mountain Sky and I'm totally satisfied. The hat fits secure and snug on my head, but still very comfortable. Not constricting, but enough hold that a strong gust of wind isn't gonna blow it off, either. Only one mild complaint and it's not even that big a deal for me, some feathering on the hat band came slightly frayed, but that's something only you will likely notice, trust me...I've owned this hat 2 weeks currently, and have already had tons of compliments from friends and co-workers. Even have had some buddies saying they are gonna look into buying one! This hat gets a thumbs up from me.

I've had this hat for a few years now. It's one of Stetson's crusheble felt hats so it's kept in shape endured the weather.And the roughness that I've treated it with. I always get a lot of good compliments, but of course that comes from a stetson hat. Have not started to wear it to work yet.Only when I'm out and about I normally wear my hats to work after they start to look wore this one still looks great

Another nice fitting, nice looking hat from Stetson at a good price. Gambled on the hat online here, glad I did. If you like these hats you always have use for a brown one like this. Feels good on the top of my head, keeps the sun and rain off.Update: I like this hat and replaced the band with a different hat band, which is always an option and more should personalize the hat with something special that makes it REALLY yours. Your statement of being smart for buying the hat which is underpriced. Customers should think about the inevitable choice of making a easy huge improvement for a few extra dollars. I have a couple of choices for a couple of hats, just due to the fact I know exactly what is going to rock my look the most/best. Like my two Bozemans, one has a conchos decorated black leather band on the rather plain black hat. But the hat has such a cool shape and fits so good. I glued a certain band to one, studs shaped a little like diamonds, made of metal and chromed. Sharp, extra sharp touch. Similar in a way to this one that has a few. I leave one in the truck in case the one Im wearing gets blown off or I forget the one primary daily user. It is the coolest way a hat can be improved.
