The technology keeps advancing and the products become easier to use. I really like the larger work surface and the LED lights.

Great Grinder
It is expensive, but worth it. I am an amateur stain glass guy. You only get the large grinder head, not the smaller one. A little misleading in the promos. I contacted the vendor and they were very responsive. The light is great and dose a good job.

Super quiet and that mini table!
This grinder is super quiet! A much appreciated feature compared to my old Glastar from the 80's. I've been wanting to upgrade for quite some time, but was extremely disappointed to learn that Glastar went out of business. After much research, I bit the bullet and purchased The Grinder.I love the quick fit bit system, the LED light bar and the accessory drawer. But, I especially love the splash curtain. It truly cut down on the abundance of overspray in the surrounding area.It's also effortless to empty the water tray. Just remove the light bar and splash curtain and lift straight up. Easy peasy!And, oh yeah... the included mini table for small pieces!!!!! Of course, you must purchase tiny bits additionally, but... still. It's invaluable when working small.

The “Grinder” is a top notch piece of equipment designed to do stained glass work (grinding). It’s whisper quiet, powerful and doesn’t leave any chipping of glass pieces you’re preparing to solder. The LED light and clear eye protective shield make the grinding process very easy, quick and precise. The LED light really lights up the entire grinding board, especially in the area of the grinding bit. This is so much easier to use than the grinder I had. The bit is easy to change, I love the light, the shield could be improved on, but I love this grinder.

This grinder is awesome
I’ve been working with glass for over 20 years and have always used the Glastar grinder. I’m now doing kiln forming and my glass is 6m - 12m thick and the Glastar really struggled. I couldn’t believe how well the Grinder handled this thick glass - the difference is night and day! It’s also much quieter, much more powerful, so much easier to change the bits, and the shields and light make this grinder Top of the line. Best $350 I’ve spent in a long time.
