Revell 1: 144 04021 F-14A Tomcat

I ordered this with the intention of turning it into a Christmas ornament as a gift. Considering the application, my primary criteria were 1/144 scale and reasonably inexpensive.This fulfilled both very well, but I wasn't prepared for the overall quality and detail of the kit. Revell of Germany did an excellent job on this one.It's no Tamiya, but it also isn't $35, and for roughly twelve bucks I don't think you can do much better in this scale. With just a touch of scratchbuilding (I used fine wire to make the ejection handles on the top of the seats), and a bit of careful painting it really comes alive.I'm beyond pleased with the final result, and eager to pick one up for myself so I can really work on it and add more details without a looming deadline pushing me along.Highly recommended!

Haven't built it yet but it looks like another great 1/144 scale model by Revell! Engraved panel lines and great decal set! Shipping was fast by seller! Will review again once i build it!

there are utube videos where they make it in like a hourbut in real life, this thing is garbage, it is soo tiny. you will need a giant magnifying glass, tweezers and superglue. it really is absurd, if there are any plastic pegs not completely shaved off, the model will not fit or hold together. this is horrible, for 10 dollars it is not worth the trouble. just spend the $30-$100 and get a model that is already painted and put together. if you have hours and time are into high difficulty things, this might be up your ally. the very first step of this kit is insane, it has a joystick for the pilot that is to be glued on, but it is smaller than a grain of sand. insane.

This is a Revell Germany produced kit. The casting was very crisp. I enjoyed it immensely.

Great but was smaller than grandson thought it would be, he needs to look closer at the scale size, he learned a lesson

the photos of the model look cool, but when we received it in the mail (which took at least two months) we were very disappointed, buy hey, it had to come from Australia, so give ‘em a break on the shipping. But no where in the listing does it say how small it actually is…

total crap, wings are warped, cockpit is twisted. Parts missing, some are double... The F14 has asymmetrical stabilizers... not this kit. It has TWO left stabilizers which means theyll be inclined wrong, because theyre not vertical, theyre supposed to be tilted outward at a 7° angle. Who made this kit??? (*edit*) also, just has weapon mounts for the left side. so Two left AIM 9 and AIM 7 Sparrow mounts. which means your weapons will be mounted wrong with the AIM 9 on the inside on one side. Instead of a left and right side, nope double lefts!! This whole things just crap and I was dumb enough to buy two. Spend the extra $20 and get the AMT 1:48 scale. Its worth it and a better kit.

la maquette est conforme à l' annonce , elle fait 14cm de long et les détails plastiques sont bien ...moi qui débute dans les maquettes c'est trop cool ...attention tout de fois il faut ensuite la peinture qui n' est pas fourni avec mais tout est bien détaillé sur la boite

Not a bad little kit. Fairly small but of course it's going to be.No issues with assembly or part quality
