Wonderful stuff!
I tried this henna out because I'm pregnant and wanted something natural to use to cover my 40% grey head of hair. It really works wonderfully. Like I said, about 40% of my hairs are grey, and the rest is brown, and this henna gives a rich red color to all of my hair. I'd recommend you do some google research for tips on how to dye with henna, as it helped me to use this product properly. Here are a few dying tips for anyone interested: The day you're going to dye your hair, wash it that morning. Mix the henna powder with lemon juice (the acidity is supposed to help the dying process) in a metal or glass bowl until it's a nice, muddy consistency. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit for a few hours (my mixture always sits for at least 8 hours). In preparing to dye your hair, lay down some old towels to catch any messy henna that might fall to the ground. Wear clothes you don't care about getting dyed either, or cover yourself with a trash bag that you've cut a hole into so that your head fits through (later you can tear yourself out of the trash bag so you don't have to pull it over your head), or just invest in a rain poncho or one of the covers they'd put on you at a salon if you know you're going to be dying every 3-4 weeks or so! I apply vaseline around my hair line (forehead, down and around and on the ears, and onto the back of the neck). Have a roll of plastic wrap nearby, and gloves for your hands. I use clips to section my hair, and luckily my husband is just patient enough to help cover my roots with the henna to start, then I take over applying the henna to the rest of my long thick hair (btw, I need at least 2 boxes of this henna, or a total of 4 oz for my thick hair that goes a few inches past my shoulders).Once completely applied I cover my head with plastic wrap, and then with a towel over top of that. For my own hair I've found through trial and error that the henna should sit for about 2 hours before I rinse it out. So I make a night of it and have a movie to watch while the henna does it's job. You can do a patch test on some strands of your hair that you've collected from a brush or after you comb it to better determine what amount of time will work for your hair type/color.

I love Colora Henna...couldn't live without it...
I have been using apricot gold for over 6 or 7 years now. It was my daughter who found it at a beauty supply store. My hair is naturally red, strawberry shade...and the apricot gold is my true color. It's amazing ! My grays are mostly on top my head.. Ukk.. anyways.. this henna covers the gray amazingly. It's not just one flat color. The henna is multiple shades as each hair absorbs differently. So it looks so natural...Like your own. It leaves my hair thicker, soft and shiny. I love it. I have been incorporating gold brown now for the ends and underneath hair. I have long hair... I just blend the gold brown from about 3/4 of the length down for only 10 or 15 minutes...that's it.. and that's enough color for the lengths to blend in. The ends seem not hold much color lately.. But with the gold brown henna , the color stays forever, it seems. I just put the powder in a bowl, the amount I want to use, trickle warm water over the powder as I mix to a pancake batter consistency, on the thick side, not runny. Let it rest a few minutes, on wet, clean hair, I use a small spoon to scoop and smooth the creamy henna on to my roots, and where-ever. It smells like wet alfalfa hay. I love that smell. Doesn't burn or hurt your scalp in anyway so you can put it right on your roots and blend out if need be. It doesn't fade out or fry your hair like chemical dye does...So, you can add color to areas you may want more over and over...it doesn't harm your hair. I love it !...and am glad my daughter found it...

. Today, finally I tried this product, the Colora henna creme in auburn. I had great doubt of the effectiveness of it. Without ammonia and peroxide as fixing agents, I doubted its ability to color over my natural color. I have redish hair where it was dyed and lightened. But about 2 1/2" of medium brown where it has grown out. This was the part I was most interested in seeing the results, as that would give me a true picture of the effectiveness of the henna. I left it on 2 full hours. The package says 1 hour or longer if deeper color is desired. The results of the part of my hair that was grown out to it's natural med brown color were amazing and wonderful. It looks like it did when I was in my 20's, with the vibrant auburn but not a contrived "dyed" look to it. The rest, of course, is a much brighter red as you would expect, but pretty never the less. Well, I am sold. I will continue to let the natural color grow out and gradually cut all the old lighter color off. I can now depend on the henna auburn to give me a beautiful auburn, with out the chemicals I don't want, and with stunning results. I love it. It is a bit inconvenient to need to leave it on 2 hours as opposed to the 25 min I am used to, but the trade off is well worth the extra time. And I can't wait for the old colored part to grow out and be gone and to see a full head of hair done in the stunning auburn as I see now at the 2 1/2" base of my hair. I also might add, with this particular formula, it is one bottle that you apply on your hair. No mixing and no oder what so ever. There were no unpleasant effects to my scalp either. No itching, no stinging.Update:I now have 7" of roots grown out and I have now been using this product for about 6 months or more, not sure. And I can say now, that I will be using this product for ever. After using it this long, I can say for certain that it really does improve the health of hair. My hair still has the uncut part that was previously colored with regular hair coloring. That part, although getting an occasional trim of a 1/2" or so, is in better condition than it used to be. But the really surprising part is that when I take all my hair in hand, it actually feels thicker and more like it used to feel before I ever used any coloring.I can't comment on the other henna of this brand which is a powder that you have to mix. This is a liquid that you just apply and wait.

Love this. Leave it on a little longer for strong results. If you can apply heat, do so, henna is heat activated so you will see results sooner. (Hair dryer, etc.) Also, if it smells too "plant like" I received a tip that you can add a few drops of an essential oil, be sure to use something that compliments the earthy smell of the henna. If you have greys, mix with hot coffee, and an ounce of red wine vinegar. You can also add either 1 egg, 1 ounce of olive oil, or 1 ounce of conditioner if you have dry hair. (I used the conditioner)Hope this helps!
