Showstopping Pictures and Recipes!
First of all, the pictures in this cookbook are gorgeous and inspiring. I find that many cookbooks do not have enough pictures, leaving me to guess the outcome of the final product. Not this book! There are many, many pictures of beautiful vegan food!Second, I plan on bringing THE star dish to holiday gatherings this year. As a vegan, I am tired of being relegated to eating a green salad and cranberry sauce during Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Therefore, I decided that this year I am going to bring several of my own dishes, no matter what the host says. That way, family and friends will realize that vegan cooking can be beautiful and delicious. My goal is for them to come back for seconds!

Only for wheat gluten LOVERS (yuck)
I am SO glad I only spent $8 for the Kindle version. The majority of the recipes require wheat gluten and mushrooms. I'm not gluten sensitive, but I think wheat gluten is just nasty. Plus I hate mushrooms. There are only a couple of recipes I'll probably prepare.

This book exceeded my expectations!
This cookbook is knocking my socks off! I've already made a few of the recipes in advance for ease and extra hiking time on Thanksgiving day, and I think this will be the best Thanksgiving ever, vegan or not!First off, I made the parsnip vanilla soup. Delicately flavored and, hands down, my new favorite way to enjoy parsnips (a food that I would never have gone out of my way to eat, previously). This soup is so good, that I'm thinking of making ahead and freezing for guests at Christmas-time. They are staunchly not vegan, but it's that good, that I think, even they will enjoy it.Next I made the cranberry sauce and nut roast filling. I love it even more than the soup. It's simply amazing. The flavors both meld beautifully together AND stand out. It's really remarkable. I've never liked homemade cranberry sauce, until now. (I was canned, cranberry jelly girl, before this recipe!) my roommate, who up until now hated cranberry sauce, was begging me for more. And he's very picky!I have my nut roast tightly wrapped in the fridge and I am really looking forward to cooking it day of.I'm also planning on making Welsh rarebit, to serve alongside the soup after a nice hike, and I'm making the stuffing and orange glazed carrots, to accompany the main event. Oh, and I'm making gravy day of, as well. I'm REALLY looking forward to trying these recipes. This book surpasses my expectations. The recipes are next level. Some may take a little time and care but the results are well worth it. None have been difficult, just time consuming to chop ingredients. I could probably use better knives, so they may go faster once I upgrade.

Excellent vegan holiday cookbook
Excellent cookbook for entertaining as a vegan. I made two of the Christmas Wellington roasts for a large crowd and a double batch of his cranberry orange sauce. Both were abosoljtely delicious!!!

Got my non-cooking guy to make something from scratch
I bought this after borrowing it from the library. I like it because there are showpiece recipies. My guy, who mostly just reheats things, liked it because the author rates each recipe for difficulty. He successfully made the orange glazed carrots (rated as a 2) mostly on his own twice now. He is gearing up for the cauliflower next. There are some ingredients that I can't get in the US but I've managed to make substitutions that tasted great.True, this cookbook is not for the gluten free but if you can eat gluten the "meat" recipies are yummy. About 4 years ago I discovered that I could no longer buy the dry mixes to make seasoned seitan. After trying other recipes that didn't work well, I gave up. Now I'm back to success.

The perfect vegan holiday!
This book is amazing! This cookbook has a comprehensive collection of all your favorite childhood holiday foods (but vegan)! There are beautiful photos of every dish, and Gaz thought of everything down to the day-after pick me up juice! It's all you need to plan the perfect holiday spread (Thanksgiving appropriate as well). Cheers to a great second release, Gaz!

All you need for a perfect Vegan Christmas!
What strook me about this book is that it could have been a series of bland yet easy “free from” recipes to make vegan food passable at the Christmas dinner table..instead Gaz has managed to retain the wonder and glamour of Christmas all the way through, the long lists of ingredients which would be an annoyance in any other recipe book are welcome here because these are (for the most part) meals designed to impress. My family is a mix of vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters so I have been looking for recipes which could keep everyone happy and I’m looking forward to perfecting the vegan turkey!Pro’s- Easy to follow instructions and plenty of tips for substitutions in case of allergies.- The food photography is stunning throughout.- Every part of Christmas Day is covered, from Christmas morning, party food, cheese boards and even mulled wine. I thought this was a nice touch and shows an understanding that people want to keep their Christmas food traditions alive.Cons- I found it a little grating that animal products being imitated are in speech marks (“cheese”, “turkey”, “bacon” etc) it seems silly, the book has Vegan in big letters on the front, I’d be surprised if anybody reading it needs reminders it’s not real turkey. All in all this is a great book and I would recommend it to anybody!

Many different, innovative recipes.
Pros:- book is beautiful and bright. Plenty of photos and a lovely hard cover- recipes are very innovative and seem relatively easy to make- plenty of recipes and ideas that you might not think to add to a celebrationCons:- I love every recipe to have a picture with it since I’m a very visual person. Even though a lot of the recipes have photos, not all of them have and some when they do are not next to the recipe.- I wish there was one of the those strings to mark the page. Not a necessity or a deal breaker but it is a good thing to have.- a lot of the recipes seem to be made with tempeh which if you live in a small town like I do, you won’t be able to find it. Therefore making a lot of the recipes unusable to me.I have not tried any of the recipes yet. These are my first impressions. All in all I still give the book a 5 star for the time being since the observations made above a small remarks that does not change how amazing the recipes themselves look. Which is what a recipe book is for.

Oh My Gosh!
As a life long vegan/vegetarian who has hundreds of cookery books, this one has blown my socks off! Never, ever have I read through a book and wanted to make ‘literally’, as Gaz would say, everything! I can tell from the ingredients that the recipes will almost certainly be delicious, I have had a few past successes with seiten and many disappointments. I just cannot wait to try nearly all these recipes. An outstanding, and justly named Christmas Vegan cookbook at last. 99/100. A couple of savoury and sweet nut recipes would have got it 100/100, but I have absolutely no complaints. Well done young man, if I were 50 years younger I would ask you to marry me.

Best recipe book out there!
Best vegan book I’ve bought ever! I’ve been vegan for 25 years and this is the first recipe book to show me something new. The ‘bacon’ is great fun to make and so very well received in my house. I’ll make everything in this book. Such a step up from predictable fare. Brilliant, Gaz!

An absolute Game changer
Went vegan this year after taking part in veganuary after being veggie for years. If I'd have known about this guy before and seen his youtube channel I'd have made the switch much sooner. We're a family of 4 now who are vegans (my husband and 2 children ages 6 and 8). Seitan has been key to my family transitioning, they love a roast dinner and this book is simply epic. I've tried some of his recipes on the channel and simply cannot wait to start on these, it may only be March but as far as I'm concerned I have some practice to get in. Off to buy his other book now.Gaz if you read these comments - Thank you, you're inspiring, my son (8) is over the moon he can show his friends that vegans can eat incredible meals with no friends in them!
