OnixOutbreak Pickleball Paddle Reinforced by TeXtreme® Technology for Improved Performance and Stronger Play

I’ve been playing for a couple months with this racket. I am an intermediate player and I absolutely love it. Good power and good control both. I have used some of my friends more expensive racquets and I prefer this one.

Love my new paddle - after demo'ng 7 different brands, this one just felt 'right'. I'm convinced my game has improved since I purchased this. Light weight and handle grip feels really good. I'd still recommend you try out several different before deciding on a paddle - you will just feel the difference when you have the right one and this one was it for me!

The best paddle on the planet, I’ve been using this peddle for seven years. I’ve had the same paddle for seven years, and it finally broke a few weeks ago and I had to purchase the same one again.

Purchased in March 2020 and stopped playing pickle-ball after 2 weeks due to COVID. Used the paddle a few times in 2021 and began using it 3 times a week in 2022. The handle broke after steady use for 3 weeks. I would not purchase this paddle.

Bought this paddle after reading good reports. Received it last week and used it for 2 days. On the second day the handle broke while hitting an overhead shot. Very disappointed with the paddle as many reports indicate it is a good paddle to play with. The handle has sharp edges and it distracts while using it, but this is something that it has been reported in the past. I was expecting to get used to the handle sharp edges. However, I was not expecting the paddle to fail during normal play on the 2nd day of use. I suppose that it is a manufacture defect since none of the previous reports I reviewed indicated a handle failure. Would I replace it with another Outbreak? No, because the paddle felt top heavy and the handle edges are very pronounced. I was able to balance the top heaviness with lead strip tape on the handle but the sharp edges remained an issue. Compared to other paddles I own (Selkirk, Paddletek, and Prince), I did not feel that this paddle delivered anything different over the other paddles, which was somewhat disappointing in light of the reviews. Again, I attribute the failure to a manufacture defect. Would I recommend this paddle to a friend? No, because of being top heavy and the handle edges.Attached are some pics showing how the handle broke on the 2nd day of use.

Purchased in June of 2019. After 2 months, handle broke in neck area. Manufacturer replaced. Now after 13 months playing approximately 1 - 2X per week, there’s are 2 cracks/indentation/bulge at top of 1 side of racquet at 11 and 1 o’clock. I do like racquet however, can’t understand why my tennis racquets lasts years and I can’t even get 13 months( out of warranty) on this paddle. Unfortunately, I think I’ll be demoing Selkirk where I hear that their warranty is much better.

This paddle is perfect for drinking. I use this one only. It's easy to hit the ball without effort.

My first Onix was a Z5 and I still use it occasionally, but I upgraded a bit to this Outbreak. It’s thicker and I like it better than the Z5. I used it four times…twice indoors and twice outdoors… and noticed the paint chipping. (See photos.) Onix was unaware of the issue and suggested it was the result of the surfaces on which I was playing (puzzling to me), but assured me the chips would not effect performance. I’m keeping the paddle and we’ll see how it works out.
