I bought this when I was down with a tummy bug and just did not feel like getting out my rice cooker to make up a batch of rice. These are GREAT!! I would just poke holes in the top, zap them for 2 minutes in the microwave, and ta da all ready to go.If you do not fluff it with a fork after cooking, I think it is firm enough to use with chop sticks. It is NOT sticky rice. Very nice pleasant flavor. I eat with a touch of Italian White Wine Vinegar that I purchase here on Amazon.Mine came in a cardboard box with I believe 6 in it. It has punch-out edge and can just put it on cabinet shelf for easy storage to grab and use.*** Cost -- most expensive than using "regular dry rice" but great for lunches or even backpacking meals*** Flavor -- great!! Loved it -- very consistent quality.*** Storage -- surprisingly can just have it on your shelf, ready to heat in 2 minutes!!I will purchase this again. Recommended. Great for kids for after school, or fast microwave side dish (serves 2 as side or one large bowl.)

Love, love, love this. I am on my second box already. I don't even use my microwave. I have my stir-fry pan hot, add chopped onion, seasoned with some salt, pepper, and garlic powder, cook till more translucent then next add my rice. I can smash it apart and break it down easily with my hands or back of a deep-fry spatula strainer utensil, pressing down. I add more of same seasonings and keep stirring. I then add a little chicken broth, low-sodium soy sauce, and a bit of oyster sauce with a few drops of this yellow liquid Chinese coloring and mix well, cooking a bit longer. After that I remove to a serving bowl. I add a tab of butter into my hot pan, not wiped out, and pour my well-beaten eggs seasoned with same seasonings of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. My soy sauce has less salt so it balances out well. Spread eggs out thin in the pan until almost done then using spatula, cut into small pieces and add to your rice. Stir together. You can add chicken or other meats diced or veggies like broccoli, frozen peas, carrots, green beans, water chestnuts etc. Enjoy!! I will be buying more of this rice. Is fast, convenient, tastes great, and is decently priced.

This is the best of the "ready rice" bunch, in my opinion. Nice quantity, great scent and flavor, in just 2 minutes from the microwave. The rice comes out nicely separated into individual grains, too, and it's a nice size for two healthy servings or 4 smaller side helpings. we're just two of us and almost always have some left over.My only reduction comes from the package sometimes being just too hard to open - like the factory put on too much glue on the bowl or something. Then, I have to slip a knife through it and drag it through enough the get a grip on the hot bowl. Still, these are so good, I get them every month via Subscribe and Save.This is NOT the sticky rice - it's a regular, long-grain rice that smells amazing and tastes just that good.

I love the convenience. It's good rice, a little dry, but it could be my microwave and I could remedy that. I plan on using it as a go with for bean's, lentils and chicken for my lunches at work. I'm pleased with my purchase and will buy more. I did think the price a wee bit high, but it's not a big deal as long as it's tasty & clean.

My mom is elderly and loves rice. I found this brand for her in a local store. I live in another state. I looked for it in all our stores and could not find it. So I checked Amazon.This rice take 2 minutes in the microwave. About 90 to 95 seconds in, it will "pop" but it's fine.It is enough for 3 decent portions if used as a side. Really good flavor.I have a large rice cooker but on the days I don't want to have to wash dishes, this is perfect.

I've been using this rice for over 2 years now since I first found it in a Costco. Then they sold out and I have not seen it there since then. I love it.. WE love it.. It's so easy to store, so quick to prepare and comes out moist and oh so good.. Not like that dried up stuff that comes in those standup bags from Uncle B...you know who. I can't keep this in my pantry because it gets used up so fast. The kids like to microwave it for 1 minute, pour a can of chili, no beans, on top add a slice of cheese then microwave it another minute and a half and it's cheesy chili rice for dinner or snack time.. We use it every time we need rice for any dish. It's a superior product. Sometimes I find it in HEB. I wish more stores carried it! There are several flavors. Our favorites are the Basmati, Long grain white and the Jasmine.

The media could not be loaded. i like this Veetee Basmati rice. it is great for a quick fix meal if you have a microwave. i was surprised how good it was. At first i tried a Basmati rice from another company which i usually love, but to my surprise it did not taste good at all. This Veetee Basmati rice tastes good. Each of these packs also has a little bit more rice in it than some other rice packs. So far this has been the best quick cook Basmati rice i've found. Sabiene :)PS: i said in my video that we cooked it in the microwave for 2 min at 1.5 KW, but it does come out better when you cook it at a little less time like 1 min and 50 seconds or so, but ONLY if you have a 1.5 KW microwave. Otherwise they recommend 2 min at 800 Watts.

Great, when used promptly. Taste, texture, very nice. I stored both orders, in my cold pantry. The second order, I am only halfway through, and it has gone bad after two weeks. I am very surprised, and disappointed.
