Getting the Most From Newspaper Research
Excellent resource for researching in newspapers! The author gives a very good description of the types of newspaper articles and information genealogists will find useful. These examples go beyond just the obituaries. I really liked the images of actual newspaper articles that are included in the book. The last section of the book is a listing by state of newspaper resources, both digital and microfilm. It is obvious the author has used newspapers extensively for research. She know her subject. This is a book not to be missed by the serious genealogy researcher.

Very informative resource. This is the second of Claudia's books that I read. I have been searching newspaper but not very productive and this book is a quick read along with a listing of newspaper resources world wide.

Newspaper research is tedious, time-consuming
Ms. Breland has brought us a very thorough product on searching newspapers. Newspaper research is tedious, time-consuming, frustrating work most of the time. This work helps the researcher to find the relevant newspaper and how to mine the gold the newspaper holds for the family researcher.

Picked up a few good tips but overall not enough substance in the book
Picked up a few good tips but overall not enough substance in the book. Two thirds of the book is just links or references to state by state newspapers.
