Perfect!
I knew these would work great when I first opened the box and I was greeted with the scent of wax.I was hesitant at first because not every frame/foundation that says heavy wax actually puts it on. The wax is good, heavy, and even. Will be buying more.

Best frames money can buy!
understand that these are sold with two wax coating designations: standard and heavy. These are the heavy waxed ones. Standard wax coating is a single layer of wax applied on the foundation. The designation ‘heavy’ means that several coatings of wax have been applied onto the foundation. The difference being that it may be necessary to add a layer of beeswax on the foundation that has the ‘standard’ wax coating. You will not have to add extra coatings of beeswax on the frames that have the ‘heavy’ beeswax coating. They are strong and durable. The bees will add comb quickly if the hive is strong. These are my go to frames and I 100% recommended them.

My bees and I LOVE them!!!!
As an old fashioned beekeeper (and Florida Master Beekeeper), I was very hesitant to convert to all plastic frames, so I did a LOT of research before I committed to the investment, and I am SO glad I did! These frames are heavily coated in wax, and my bees have absolutely loved them! They have taken to these frames even more easily than to the wooden frames with plastic or wax foundation! And in the future, my labor will be greatly reduced due to ease of cleaning and re-waxing. I am thoroughly impressed, and highly recommend Acorn all-plastic frames to all beekeepers!!!

Beats ALL other pre-waxed one piece plastic frames -Bees Favorite
I do lots of product testing when it comes to honey bees.I have used plastic frames in my apiary since 2007.This year, we tested three pre-waxed one piece deep frames and placed them side by side to see which products the bees accepted and had drawn comb on first. The bees worked and produced comb on Acorn "heavy waxed" frames FIRSTPierco Pre-Waxed frames were less attended and given the option, were a solid second place to Acorn.Mann-Lake Pre-Waxed one-piece frames came in third and the bees often constructed their comb from the top bar, bur ran it down parallel to the pre-waxed foundation which created unusable comb as they looked like stalactites made of wax.The final result, bees will eventually work all three one-piece foundation/frames when pre-waxed. But given the choice, they draw out Acorn heavy waxed frames first. The plastic used in the Mann Lake frames is also more "brittle" - Pierco Frames tended to be "flexed" through the center field. Acorn Frames remain straight and flat.I will be buying Acorn frames exclusively until something better comes along. I highly recommend them!

Install this before installing the bees, lesson learned
Tried to make my own, 2 days later... FAILED. Ordered these, installed them. They smell good with the wax, theyr sturdy and long lasting by appearances. Good purchase.
