Casio - G-Shock - Gulfmaster - Black - GWN1000C-1A

The watch for me, so far. For hunting, fishing, ocean sailing, mountaineering, world adventure travel, military operations and a Zombie Apocalypse this is a great watch. It has one shortcoming, it does not provide moon rise and moon set or sunrise and sunset. Anyone who has done any of the above activities knows that illumination data is critical information. I would gladly trade the thermometer sensor for illumination data. Illumination data is just data input, so the watch would only need two sensors without the temperature sensor. I could find no other watch that came this close to what I needed. Keep your instruction manual. The controls become intuitive, but the watch has many functions.

It's a good looking watch. A couple of noteworthy issues are that the crown can come undone by brushing against your hand, without you knowing, which could lead to accidentally getting water in the watch. It has happened twice in a couple of weeks for me. Additionally, I set it out to get direct sunlight for two full days, and the power still says "M". I'm not sure it is charging. My experience with other solar watches indicate that two full days would have fully charged them. I'm not sure if this watch is operating differently with it's solar cell, or if the gauge for "full" is just set higher. Crossing my fingers on the watch still being operational in a few months, and not losing it's battery power.

This watch is a behemoth. It's a beautiful piece of machinery, I am in love with how it looks, but it looks insane on my wrist. I wore it with a t-shirt and it truly looked awkward. I am so sad that it looked so weird on me, I guess I have small wrists!

So many functions, comfortable, perfect watch size not as the newer massive g-shocks, good looking, easy to use and read.

Received mine and was impressed with the heft and toughness of this G Shock. The list of measurements this watch pulls off is impressive...and useful. Tides, barometer, moon age, temperature, compass. Better than other ABC watches. Love that it's tough solar and Atomic. Would buy again.

I couldn't be happier with this watch! I needed a "survival" type watch for camping, rafting, boating, and other outdoor activities. The functionality, aesthetics, ruggedness, and solar powering made this watch perfect for my needs.

This watch is fantastic! Couldn't be happier with this purchase. It's not a smart watch but how smart does a watch really need to be. Very durable, looks great, very comfortable to wear.
