Wisenet SDR-843051T 8 Channel Super HD Video Security DVR with 1TB Hard Drive

I had an employee install this and cameras, for dirt cheap. The system is awesome, just not the best at night, but still good. I have a multi thousand dollar system professionally installed at my house, which is too complicated to even use. The wisenet is much easier to use and the quality is great, wish i had installed at my house.

I like that it connects faster to my phones and the menu is better. Also seems like the camera images are crisper. What I don't like is the internal fan is noisy. I measured the decibels(db) at 46db. This is the fan and hard drive combined. I measured just the fan at 25db. Would be a whole lot better if the fan/hard drive combo was around 20db instead.

THOUGHT I HAD TO REPLACE MY ENTIRE SYSTEM, SINCE THE CAMERAS STOP WORKING. ALL I NEEDED TO REPLACE WAS THE BOX. HAD A WARRANTY ON MY CAMERA SYSTEM FROM SAMS AND ALL IS NOT IN GREAT WORKING ORDER!

So far it is working very well. The software is very user friendly. The pictures are clean and clear

The app that it uses is no longer compatible with iPhone os.

I needed a replacement for an 8 year old DVR that died. This was a replacement that is backwards compatible to the 8 cameras I already had in place. It was easy to set up and works great. My only complaints would be that, although I’m using the same cameras and monitor, the colors seem less vivid than with the original DVR and the night vision is less crisp. Other than these issues, I would recommend it as a good buy.

Clean video, easy to use and to install

Jeez, stay away from this one guys, the user interface resolution is so low that you can hardly read or make out the font. After downloading the remote viewing app i find out that its full of bugs and doesnt work. All of the comments on the app page for both android and iphone are saying the same.. Simply the app doesnt work and its a waste of time and money. Im very unhappy with the purchase and want a refund.
