NIXON Chronicle SS Watch

This is just a fantastic watch. The Chronicle SS (Black with Tortoise) is really beautiful and I get plenty of compliments about it. As a watch, it is solidly built and keeps time accurately with its' Swiss movement. It's got a pretty thick bezel and does carry some weight with it, but that's to be expected. From an aesthetics perspective however, this is where this thing really dazzles. It's a very masculine jewelry piece that accessorizes nicely in both formal and informal settings. I've worn the Chronicle out getting groceries and to business meetings requiring a suit & tie and in both settings, I seem to always get a "Nice Watch" compliment. I highly recommend this watch to anyone and even my young son is already asking when he can have it.Oh, just a couple words of caution...the box only comes with 2 additional links so if you have an extra thick wrist it may cause issues. So buy it from an Amazon Prime dealer just in case you have to return it. Also, as with all Nixon watches, you CANNOT buy a replacement band (either directly from Nixon or some 3rd party) and the measurements of the watch are pretty much proprietary. I searched online to see if I could get a dark leather band as well and it's just not possible to find. Instead, you will actually need to ship the entire watch back to Nixon because per Nixon, they view their timepieces as art and don't want folks to diminish it's integrity by switching out bands.With that said, I would still recommend the Chronicle SS since it's such a wonderful piece and therefore gets 5-stars from me.

Its a 5 star jewel of a watch that I get compliments on daily. I wear it at work as a nurse and everyone asks about it cuz it has a definite look of subtle class. HOWEVER. The band sux! I have not even had it a year and the band is falling apart. I now have to either buy a new aftermarket band or send it to nixon which I highly doubt will be cheap. Kinda dissapointed given the price point of this watch. Its like everything else nowadays. ...classy lookin....but not built for the long haul. Im just a workin guy and if I blow a couple hundy on a watch I kinda expect more than a year. Hell, my timex bands do better than that. Its a love hate relationship with this timepiece! ;)

Beautiful watch! It is quite stunning really.... I think I was sold a returned/ used watch though.... I have requested clearly from the seller, so we'll see.

This is a great watch and looks very nice. This was my first nixon and I have several more since. There is only one drawback for me. I am hard on watches and I hit the outside band on everything. The black started to wear off on me and this has happened to me on other nixons and other brands. I've had to retire it for special occasions only. I did buy it in stainless steel and it shows very little signs of wear and wear it every day to work.

Gorgeous watch....fit my husband perfect and hes a big guy! His favorite watch in his collection. I will order again in the future.

Excellent watch! Tortoise shell is dark but with the right light you can see great details another high quality watch from Nixon

I like this watch since I saw it in the cupboard, in fact I'm wearing it right now and I do not want to take lol
