Blackjack Gum 20ct

Black Jack was my first gum, ever - a huge wad that I found in the (dirt) street, before they paved it over. Since my parents wouldn't let me chew gum (they were right - this was before sugarless existed), I couldn't resist that gum, despite the condition. It tasted absolutely wonderful - licorice-like, flavorful, divine. So when I saw it again after decades of NOT seeing this childhood wonder, I had to look it up, and found that they only make it once every three years!!! When the batch is gone, that's it until the next cycle. Again, I had no resistance, and ordered it.OK, for a review: It's not nearly as flavorful as my memory of it is - kind of cardboard stiff, only a mild licorice character, and frankly, if this wasn't an item notable for its sentimental value, I wouldn't buy it. Since it is, however, I'm enjoying chewing it and giving it to others who remember it. A tiny guilty pleasure. Adams Beemans Chewing Gum Twenty 5-Stick Packs

BEWARE! The picture on the listing shows the original packaging with the “Adams” candy maker stamp on it. The gym that arrives is NOT ADAMS BLACKJACK!!! It is a knockoff brand from Morocco!

Love this gum. So happy to find it again! Although I would agree the flavor fades out faster than other gum. But I’ll probably be a repeat customer.

Doesn’t have much flavor I guess licorice is in short demand in Morocco

I love black licorice so of course I love this tasty gum. Four stars because after ten minutes of chewing the gum gets a bit hard and starts to lose its flavor. Also, all the packs are loose at the ends, and the wrapper around each stick is loose. Don't know what caused this, perhaps an improper temperature where it's been stored. Still love it, though. and will reorder!

This gum brings me back to my childhood. Love black licorice and this is a good gum. Didn't know they still made it.
