Excellent construction, excellent audio quality, missing pairing with two devices at the same time
Buy these bluetooh adapter for my westone um-30 pro triple Driver, I think they are great, excellent fit, good construction quality, great audio quality, good bass, medium and high sound and little impact on audio quality Due to the technologies that this adapter has, I only have one question left. Can this Adapter be paired with two devices at the same time? This is something I miss, since headphones like the bose Sound sport bluetooh if they bring it, if there is an answer to this question of whether or not they are compatible with two devices at once I would appreciate it, for the moment I will give 5 stars.

Do NOT buy, buzzing and failing
Absolutely terrible. For the price and based on my expectations from westone this is an profoundly terrible product. There is a constant background buzzing, so any silent moments are very distracting. I've tested with 3 android phones (Pixel 1, Pixel 1 XL, Pixel 3) and two iOS devices (iPhone SE and iPad) and they all exhibit this buzzing.Audio is now dropping and then playing loud high pitched squeals and tones.I had the previous generation westone bluetooth and they worked okay until one day they just stopped powering on. This is a much more terrible version of the previous generation. The lack of charging port on the headphones themselves is also annoying, if you misplace the charger/battery attachment you have no way to charge the headphones. The previous generation had a micro-usb port on the cable itself.Do not buy, you will be dissapointed

Good but expensive for what it is.
Good. Works best with Westone products. Connection is fine. Volume is lower but acceptable. Only issue is it’s not really worth $149. Essentially the price of an IEM. If it ever goes down to $100 it’s totally worth it.

Buzzing noise ruins an otherwise great Bluetooth cable
I have been using the Westone Bluetooth cable v2 for about a week now. Previously I was using the v1 for about 2 years. Westone has made some very welcome upgrades to the v2, but there is one large problem. The Good- The upgrade to Bluetooth v5 has eliminated lip sync issues with certain video platforms, increased sound quality, and reduced if not eliminated audio drop out when waking outside. With the v1 I often had lip sync issues with the YouTube app on my iPhone 7 and audio dropped out dozens of times throughout the day.- the added battery life/charging cradle means I am charging less. I do not like the requirement of using the cradle to charge, since it means I have to have it with me, but the fact that I can extend my battery life is well worth it.-build quality is slightly better than the v1; however, this is at the detriment to shure IEM users as the mmcx plug now has a larger rubber lip meant to reduce water infiltration, but instead it makes it very difficult to interface with shure IEMs. If you keep this cable and use shure you will likely need to trim this rubber down.- the ends of the cable near the mmcx connectors are now more rigid and rounded. This keeps the headphones in place and more secure. The BadThe biggest issue with this cable, and the reason that I have returned it despite the many notable upgrades, is that a rhythmic, beating, buzzing type noise is very audible in the right channel from low to medium volumes. At normal to loud listen volumes the sound is not audible (likely masked), but if there is a quieter section or silence between tracks the sound is again audible. I have contacted westone and they admitted this is an issue with the google pixel, but I am using an iPhone 7 and two different laptops. They exchanged the cable, but replacement suffers from the same issue. Additionally the noise is documented on several forums, leading me to believe this is a problem with the design or firmware.

Westone V2 over the Shure BT2
TLTR version: I ordered both the Westone V2 and the Shure BT2 Bluetooth cables and I ended up keeping the Westone and returning the Shure. The Westone V2 sound excellent while music is playing, they feel fantastic while active or lounging around, and they should be more durable in the long run. If you are even mildly active, these are the ones to get!SimilaritiesThey both have Bluetooth 5.0, aptX HD, use MMCX audio connectors for the earbuds, charge via an included micro USB connector...and that’s about it (oh and they’re black obviously).DifferencesSoundAs others have mentioned, the first thing you will notice is the slight whine in the right earbud when you first turn on the Westone V2. There is zero whine in the Shure BT2. I almost threw them back in the box as soon as I heard this whine, but I’m glad I did not because, although it’s very noticeable between songs or when the music stops, it’s actually not loud or annoying. But it’s certainly noticeable during dead silence. Plus, when the music stops (and you leave the headphones on), the whine does stop completely after a few seconds. I guess it’s because the system goes into a light sleep mode. But I do have to say it again; I do not hear the whine while any music is playing! Yes, it’s a design flaw that I do not like to hear between songs, but it’s not as bad as you think...just give it a few days of testing to see if you get used to hearing it occasionally before you return it.The Westone uses a flat rubber cable design in the middle (between the battery and the control module), whereas the Shure uses a slightly smaller round rubber cable design. I bring this up in the sound section because the smaller cable on the Shure does not provide enough insulation. I am usually active while wearing my earbuds. I did not run with the Shure’s, but while doing chores around the house, the banging and scraping sounds from the cable was noticeable over the music. This was the case regardless if I had the clip attached to my collar or not. I don’t have the problem with the Westone, even when running or exercising. It was surprising that the whine on the Weston wasn’t an issue, but this was (for me anyways).Interestingly, even though they both use the same wireless standards, they actually have a different sound setup baked in. The Westone is very clear and neutral. The Shure is also fairly clear, but I think they programmed in a slight V style EQ into their hardware because the lower and upper freqs were a little stronger, but the mids were noticeably weaker. This is coming from someone who is not really an audiophile and wasn’t looking for any differences...it was just that apparent. It really comes down to your preferences, but I was surprised there was a difference at all while using the same earbuds (Westone W30) for both cables. I normally like good bass, but I really like how clear the Westone are! I can always EQ in more bass if I wanted to, but I don’t feel that I have to.BatteryThey both have okay battery life, but it’ll vary depending on what earbuds you attach to them. Without using the extra battery in the portable “charging dock”, the Westone has less battery life. But you can attach the charging dock to the Westone V2 cable and it will double the battery life while letting you continue to listen to the music...as long as you don’t mind the extra bulk. I don’t mind it while sitting or walking around, but I could not do anything active than a steady walk with that added bulk. Alternatively, since the charging dock locks to the cable, you don’t have to worry about it coming off while charging in your bag.As I mentioned earlier, they both charge via a micro USB cable. The cable plus directly into the Shure cable on the very bottom. On the Westone, it only plugs into the charging dock and it will charge both the battery inside the cable and the charging dock. Also, no fast charging here...both Westone and Shure take a few hours to recharge.I do like how the Shure will tell you (with a pleasant voice) how much battery life is left when you first power it on. The Westone only tells you with a popup text box, on your phone, when you first turn on the headset. Additionally, you can always look at how much battery is left on either headset when you look in the Bluetooth Connections menu on your phone (thanks to BT 5.0 I believe).Fit/feelBoth wrap around the ear, something I have always preferred, with a semi ridged cable near the MMCX connectors. You can bend them into whatever position you want, but for whatever reason, I could not get the Shure to sit as comfortably as the Westone’s were right out of the box.Honestly, I don’t remember which one is lighter, but I think it was the Shure. Despite this, the design of the Westone made their setup feel lighter because it doesn’t bounce around. On the Westone, the weight is distributed evenly on both sides, up near the head, I never felt any issues with how they felt. And this was true for either way of wearing these (dangling behind or in front of the neck). On the Shure, with all of the weight down low, you are always forced to clip it to your collar, otherwise it’s always swinging around and bumping into your neck/collar bone/shoulders. Unfortunately, the cables are a tad too long for my t-shirt collars, so the cables end up bowing outward from my head and neck. Whenever I moved around, the bowed-out cables would bounce against my neck which induced more noise through the thinner cables which would annoy me. The only way to stop it is to cinch down the cables together...but that was just another step after having to clip the Shure’s to your collar. These are 2 extra steps that you won’t have with the Westone (even while running)! Note that both come with a cinch but the cinch on the Westone is much nicer and is not removable.LongevityThe Westone should have the Shure’s beat in this category too. The Westone is sweat/water/dust resistant with its IPX-5 rating. Shure is not rated with any IPX rating as far as I can tell. It’s probably why you can’t plug the USB cable directly into the Westone like you can on the Shure. Instead, the Westone only charges via the charging dock I talked about earlier. Also, as other reviews have mentioned, the Westone has extra rubber around the MMCX connectors. It completely covers the collar of the connector and it hugs the earbuds nicely. Previously, I was using a wired MMCX cable that left a few millimeters of the collar exposed (just like the Shure exposes the connector too). Over those few years with my previous cable being exposed to sweat, that connection is where I started to have issues on one side. That’s not to say that the Shure connector isn’t sealed good, I’m just telling you what I can see on the outside. Only time will tell how well either will hold up.
