I am literally AMAZED at how much I was able to fit in ...
Not sure why people are saying this is too small or that you can't carry concealed with this bag? I am literally AMAZED at how much I was able to fit in this bag comfortably! Let me tell you what I got to go into this bag without even having to stuff things in with a shoehorn...1 - Back pocket closest to your hip fits an M&P Shield 9 inside of a Remora IWB/pocket holster with lots of room for a larger, wider pistol such as the XD's or smaller double stack glocks. A single stack such as the Shield fits really well though, and you don't even notice it's there. I'd imagine a Ruger LCR or LCP is even less noticable!2 - Top strap canted pocket fits an extra 8 rd. magazine with room to spare.3 - Bottom right pocket below that fits a tactical flashlight... looks like it is actually set up to hold a small knife, as it has an elastic strap to keep the handle in place, or it could be a MOLLE web for something with a PALS strap? I'm not too sure as I don't know much about that system and have never been LEO or armed svcs.4 - Main drawstring compartment has two mesh elastic pockets which could hold a 7" tablet or books, a point and shoot camera, snacks, and whatever else you could want. There are some complaining that this pocket doesn't hold their Nikon camera, however, it comfortably holds my Pentax istDL DSLR with a 1:28 prime lens attached as well as TWO MORE LENSES, 50 mm and 135 mm prime lens! I couldn't believe I got it all in there. Even though they will fit, they have to be stuffed in the bottom, lengthwise, so I prefer to carry the 135 mm prime lens somewhere else, namely:5 - The left side/rear zipper pouch holds my 135 mm prime lens perfectly. I do wish there was a double zipper on this pocket though, but I can live with it for the price. As others have stated, it holds a small bottle of water if you so desire. This pocket definitely has a MOLLE web on the outside that I will probably hang a canteen off of if I'm taking a long enough hike.6 - Front flat zipper pocket holds my wallet just fine in the mesh pouch with lots of room for something flat. A small book, a larger billfold, a smaller IFAK if it's around a 5 x 6 x 1... lots of potential.7 - Front flat slip pocket has my 5" smartphone.8 - The flat outer flap pockets are empty right now, but they would probably hold a small wallet, some cash, a passport, etc. when the rest of the bag is full. Otherwise, you could probably get some thicker items in there and still get the clasp to close. All of this stuff is in there right now. It's not heavy, doesn't feel overloaded, and doesn't dig into my neck, although it could stand to have a pad. I have a coyote tan range bag that I will probably use the neck strap pad from, since I carry that by the hand grab handle usually. As one person noted, the zippers ARE noisy, but it's only the two and that is easily addressed with some tan or green paracord. Overall, I love this bag. Doesn't look like a b***h bag, it's super manly. Looks like it has a purpose, and it does. I just got it, so I can't comment on the construction of it over the long haul, but I think it's acceptable for what it is. I imagine it's easily repaired if it does split a seam or something somewhere down the road. I am so amazed at how much it holds, I might shoot a video of it or take some pics to share so you can see it for yourself. If you get this bag, I seriously think you'll be as impressed as I was!

A FINE BAG...
Now i really bought this Bag to carry possibles, For my travels but where I didnt want to carry a travel bag or even say a rucksack, Oe even a Back Pack.My first thought was ,WOW if only we'd had that back in scouting days!.Its also a good range bag, For hunters an Target Shooters as it will easily hold 5 or 6 AR Magazines.Plus 3 or 4 Glock Mags as well!.Plus water bottle, a sandwitch or two, And of one the new Mini Radios campers like!.It really is Pretty Good!.PROS:Its is sizeable for a small bag!.The estra hangers are handy!.The clip on from the Shoulder strap is handy!.Its not too big or too small!...CONS:No easy place to hook a camping knife to!., But a Scout Knife will fit handily!.Overall My impression is its a compact but Very Useful piece of gear!.It will carry quite a lot of gear, But being compact it will takes some thought to pack away everything you want but this bag being double stitched makes it an instant winner!.Note Other and So Called Discount Houses list this same bag for say $30 to 34 dollars. So Buy yours today from Amazon and save, I did!.....Kudos to The Seller:Kudos to Amazon!.Nuff Said!.InjdianaED...

outstanding but a bit small.
for short hikes, fishing bag, camera/travel utility, EDC man-bag, concealed carry very good. Just a bit small for me b/c I like to be able to carry a knife, snacks, flashlight, mp3 or 7" tablet and some cables if needed. This one would be a tighter fit which is fine if that is known before hand. The quality is SUPER as many have stated. My 9 year old son [camp/fish partner] loved it in the OD and hinted if I was going to send it back. So I hinted back that extra chores would close the deal. I would have hated to send it back...it is a keeper, just smaller than I'd prefer. Fits him fine [short/stocky -broad shouldered not fat for his age].After burning some of the errant nylon threads and making para-cord zipper pull tabs it is about as perfect a product as it can be. Outstanding value for the price.

the perfect small shoulder bag I've been hunting for for years
Finally ... the perfect small shoulder bag I've been hunting for for years. Good heavy material and oodles of pockets. Nice comfortable strap and it hangs where it ought to with a small contour to follow the curve of your hip. It's not quite big enough to squeeze in a bottle of water but a carabiner attached to my water bottle will allow me to hang it elsewhere.

Just Buy It!
Excellent bag. My second Red Rock Outdoor Gear product. Considering the price, it is constructed beyond my expectations. Holds my Mirrorless SLR camera, a couple of snacks, range finder, keys and some other miscellaneous items. The size is perfect for bridging the gap between a backpack or just pockets; it's definitely not huge but will hold essentials while sightseeing or hunting for a day where a backpack is overkill. Look forward to years of use.

however a small camera easily fits into the main compartment
Really neat. Has lots of storage. Won't be using it to carry a pistol, however a small camera easily fits into the main compartment. Will be using it for travelling as it sits very nicely in front of my chest. Well constructed and feels like it's made of good quality material.
