Some are so thick they require a lot of power to use and will require a more powerful tool that your average soldering iron.

Lots of tips to choose from and makes our custom wood burning of personal art deco items easier to create variety. Easy to attach or remove to the "stylus". No doubt there are some unorthodox applications I haven't thought of yet. great addition for adding to our variety of tips and can be machined to make custom applications as well. The stencils are OK, but I usually copy images from various internet sources and re-scale to the size I need to burn.

I love the variety of heads, it will make my projects even easier now!

I’m giving it 3 stars due to some design issues.I will first point out that they do get the job done, and for that price, I don’t think I could find anything better.That said, I have a few issues with the product.1. The tips are a little too short, making them sink pretty deep in the pen.2. They are also slightly undersized (in diameter) so they do not fit snugly as they should. When I contacted the seller, they said it was done on purpose, to compensate for thermal expansion. I’m a mechanical engineer... they’re undersized.3. Some tips have begun to bend. Granted, it is the thinner ones, but I don’t feel like the amount of use or the amount of pressure I applied (even considering the small diameter and the heat) were enough to bend a good quality tip that quickly, yet, these bent easily. The larger tips I’ve tried have held so far.I considered returning them mostly due to the fact that they felt too loose, but after looking around, I decided to keep them. I don’t think that any of these “bulk” kits will fit any better than these do, and as long as you thread them in all the way, and check that they’re still tight every now and then, they work well enough to get the job done.
