I've been running an Ender 3 for about a year and have made various mods and changes. I was concerned about the lack of thermal runaway protection on the stock printer and updating the firmware was going to be painful without a bootloader. I happened across a YouTube video for these boards and it showed how they have mesh bed leveling, updated firmware, quieter drivers and updating the firmware was easy as well! Alright, I'll try it... unreal difference in noise from the stepper drivers. You can only hear the cooling fans now when it's printing. Updating the firmware just requires dropping a bin file on a micro SD card. Thermal runaway protection provided with this firmware. Mesh bed leveling is easy to do and incredibly effective. I really wish I had known about these boards sooner. In short, treat yourself!

Great board. Runs really quiet. Very easy upgrade. If I get another ender 3 this is upgrade #1.

Separating the review into two parts between the SKR e3 Mini and the TFT35 display they both have good value.SKR e3 Mini v1.2 - This thing is amazing. Easy install and firmware update in my Ender 3. The difference in noise level still amazes me. It's hard to believe its the same printer. Having learned even more about it since installing and configuring I very firmly believe this is the clear choice over a Creality 1.1.5 silent board. The 32 bit processing and memory make it a near "must have" upgrade. Between this and a BLTouch (which is plug and play with this board) they should be standard on any new 3D Printer.TFT35 V3.0 - Easy to install and easy to update. Form and function are good. The display is crisp and responsive. The new material UI is nice to look at, but needs some time to mature and grow. If you aren't going to go the Octoprint route I think this is a very worthwhile addon.

Im on my second one of these, seemingly for the same reason plenty of people arent on their first.ESD or some flaw has costed me like 2 pounds of material in glitched prints. Randomly overheats all my motors and causes them to act like multiple offense crack users.
