I was not expecting much from these fittings. We just needed a way to turn off the water at the hose end with something that worked with our Gardena Quick Connect system. This works PERFECTLY. Easy to turn the water on or off, and ZERO leaks. Some other versions of these cut-off connectors are crazy expensive. These work a treat and highly recommended.EDIT: We have used these a while now and I wanted to restate how well they are working. Only had for a short time in this season so a lot will depend on the long lasting quality. But so far these work absolutely great. No pulling or pushing to release the snap water fixtures. They come in and out of these connectors very easily and the price is certainly right for five in a package. I would recommend them to a friend.

I had some problems with galling between the water spigot and the hose reel leader hose. Even with anti-seize compound, silicon grease or whatever, it required an effort to get them separated in the fall.I found these little gizmos and decided to give them a try because there'd be a plastic piece threaded onto the spigot. In addition, the quick connect joint would relieve some stress directly at the spigot.Overall, they work fairly well but do leak or drip as others have noted. I even added a little silicone grease and tightened the union up with pliers, and it still leaked. I don't run the hose 24/7, it's not that big of a deal to me.

I had mostly Gardena connectors but they are so difficult to install and remove. these are easy to quick connect and the ball valve works wonderfully well. much better choice for your gardening.

I love these Quick connect. They’re fast to disconnect your hoses and they have a shut off right there. You don’t have to go back to the faucet to shut it off.

They come apart. They don't hold together very well. I had to go buy the metal ones and keep these on hand just for emergencies.

Three out of the five in the set broke immediately upon installation.The ones that did not break are fine and do just what is needed.But it means I got a set of two, not a set of five. Not a good value.I was unable to get a refund unless I send back all five and I didn't want to uninstall those that do work.
