They work
What you say about molded hose fitting besides they work or they leak or break?Well, these fittings work and do not leak.I would by these again. No problems with connecting or disconnecting.

Interchangeable, great price.
I was afraid they might not be compatible with the brand I have been using for many years. They are completely compatible. My old brand isn't making these connectors available without buying a bundle including parts I don't need so I was very happy to find these. - bret

Fits most plastic brands.
I seem to use this type of connection way more than the other type. I keep one attached to each spray bottle, wand, etc.

Cheap and compatible with Gardena quick connects
These look pretty much identical to my original fittings except these have a flared portion in the middle. This flared portion prevented me from tightening it down enough to get a good seal on one of my nozzles resulting in tiny jets of water shooting out. This was fixed by doubling up on the washer for this particular nozzle, these fittings worked fine on the rest of my hose nozzles. I would definitely opt for one without the flared portion next time to ensure greater compatibility.

Good Fit
Fit the melnor quick connectors perfectly with no leaks. Way less cost than Melnor.

Better than metal!
I've been using the metal quick connects for years;—GLADE I DISCOVERED THESE‼️ Cheaper, better, snd they don't corrode. Every no and then I silicon the O rings. Buy these.

Not a good fit with Nelson hose equipment.
The threaded end is longer than female hose coupling causing a poor seal. It drips even on half pressure. I'm still using Nelson tap fitting ( on/off), and this coupling is too loose to seal well.
