They are certainly not going to get stuck in the bottle.
I write this review as I have a half gallon bottle of fermenting hot peppers are stuck in a jar because the weight slipped as I put it in the bottle and apparently fell unevenly so it is so stuck I am at a loss as to what to do to get it unstuck. Even though it was so very close to the size of the bottle mouth some cabbage would push up over the stopper. So rather be able to get to eat it than look at it wondering why you made such a big batch with your best peppers from your garden. These weights are heavier and that little knob would give you something to tie som fishing line around that will let you pull it out. They all arrived in tact and wrapped in bubble wrap so I guess they could get broken in shipping but it really would have had to been a bad journey. I will just put a leaf at the top but I have never been able to pack everything in where it did not settle some during fermentation so It is not my experience that the weight stays fully on top of it all anyway. I use an air lock or those silicone caps that look like a baby bottle nipple and the results has always been fine. I do not know much about how you make these things out of glass but why do they not put an eye on the handle. Did not see any that did that but it would be great because the complaints are always about how hard it is to get them out of the bottle.

The little nub is a feature I can do with out
These are great. Price is right and they are heavy.The reason I am giving a 4 is the nub is dead in the way of the diffuser. You lose a chunk of jar.If you use a fermenter cap they are a 5.

Best fermentation weights out there!
These weights are amazing! I love the smaller grip handle because it makes it so easy to remove them from the jar. They fit perfectly in all my jars - none of them ever got stuck. Love the Christian message that they share with their product. I would purchase these again and again.

Glass is great, but wish the edges were taller
Love the fact that this is made of lead-free glass. Love its easy-to-lift handle. I wish that the edges of the glass were taller so I could be more certain that the sauerkraut was fully covered in brine. I have to press it down every day.

WOW, wonderful product and amazing customer service!
These weights are great for fermenting! I like that I can easily sanitize them since they are glass.When my order arrived, one of the weights had a crack in it. I sent an email to the company (there was a card included that said to email directly if there were any issues). I got a reply within a few hours and the next day a replacement was mailed to me.BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I have plenty of weights now, but If I ever need more or give them as gifts, I will ONLY buy them from Year of Plenty!

Excellent weights
They have a really good weight to them, keeps everything under the brine and easy to remove remove the weights from the jar because of the little handle on them. I definitely would buy these again :)

Perfect for our use
Unlike other weights, these have a little handle so you can withdraw from a jar. I will be getting more of these. Came very quickly and in a nice presentation box.

One broken.
One was broken in box. Quite expensive for a few pieces of glass.
